who says they're better? his lyrics today are just as meaningful. only in the opposite direction. back during the MJ, TC and SS days he was being honest and questioning everything. but, now he's being honest in that he's found the answers to his questions... i would think if you like and respect ed.. you'd be happy for him. but, maybe you don't care about him and only yourself and what satisfies you.

uh, no, it's just me and my obvious observations.

personally, i liked his music back during the TC and SS days, too... but, i'm more happy with ed finding Jesus Christ than worried about me having something good to listen to.

and, if there's anything that's sad about all this,... it isn't his lyrics to grace compared to sesquahanna... it's the obsession some of you have with music. music is meant to be enjoyed... not to live your life around... unless it's YOUR music.

i mean every time i come here there's another thread about "what would your all time LIVE cd have on it" or "rank the LIVE albums" ... c'mon people, there's more to life than LIVE.

Of course we all realise there's more to life than Live. We indulge in it all every time we're not here on, you know, Fans of Live, where stuff is centered around Live. We don't live our lives around Live's music, we just know what we like and generally prefer/desire the older material. It's as simple as that.

The only version of the song on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkZbuwdfUDY) has all kind of Haïti footage in it. probably fan made (I guess), but it seems that more people link this song to the distaster over there.

Does pointing out that a lot of people here think the song is a disaster rather than being about one count as lightening up?

You know what's interesting about this entire message board? I was directed here by a fan of Ed's whom I found on YouTube while looking for a specific video. Yet, I came here, and all I see is moaning and bitching about Ed and his new career, and people sniping at each other over...other people's...opinions. Doesn't sound like a "fans of Live" forum to me. Sounds like "Bored and got nothing better to do" forum. I came here hoping to connect with other people with similar thoughts about the band, not post comments that are better suited to the schoolyard. What a waste of time.

Just listened for the 3rd time I really really like it! Heaps! So can't wait for the album the song may not be the original live but i'm not living in the past and I like this for what it is. Bring on some more ed!
