The only Live song of recent that didn't grab me was Believe. I'm actually happy that song never made it onto an album.

I've always been more a fan of pop than rock music, so Ed's new song fits my liking very well.

I have to disagree. I think Believe was going to be turn in the right direction for LIVE. When I first heard it I was so excited about an upcoming album then the breakup happened. If LIVE were still together and we had heard the first two songs on it were Zion and Believe I think alot of people would be getting excited. That is unitl they heard Everlasting Love. Not a bad song, just another one off SBFM. Wouldnt be surprised if it was an outtake for the album as well. Didnt Chad Gracey sort of imply it wasent a new song anyway?

Ok so after listening to Everlasting Love a few more times I think now that song may be a very good song for pop radio. Still not my favorite but I could see this song being another song like Heaven except this time for Ed only now. I would like to hear a studio recording to see if Ed screws it up with over producing it but it has potetential to hit mainstream I think. I did like the flute in the middle. That was kinda cool. Still saddens me though that Im not listening to the full band though.

I agree, however I'm curious to see if it is actually the single. A lot will depend on what label Ed has signed to. I hope we hear more soon.

I don't recall Chad Gracey saying any such thing either. He bagged Ed for being a 'lounge act' but never mentioned when the track was initially written.

Nick reported that Ed said that the track was co-written with Chris Daughtry, so that might give us a timeframe...

It was written after SFBM, but maybe it could have been on Live at the Paradiso. I think it could be a very good single, but it depends on what other songs Ed has up his sleeve.

So I wonder if Believe will pop up on one of these upcoming albums. I reallu liked that song personally. Hopefully someone will use it.

From memory, in the same tweet that Gracey called the show a lounge act, he referred to Everlasting Love as a "new song"; inverted commas and all. I think that I have wondered aloud somewhere around here before, if that meant that it was a b-side from SMBM.

I doubt it considering that TGF are using the exact same music from Believe to create a new song. It would lead me to believe the music was written by CT and Ed prefers things Ed writes apparently.

Remember though, people like zman use inverted commas for no apparent reason, CG could be following suit!

Sounds to me like Believe was a CT song and Everlasting Love is an Ed song as they all are from SBFM. It really doesnt matter though. I did like Believe, shame we will never heat a studio recording of that song. Howver, we may seem a few songs from Ed that would have never seen the light of day on his new album since its all up to him now. And hey, we got to hear Mall Rat and Photograph too. The two best "new" songs from Live since 1999!
