Maybe the following is old news to you all, but the press message that announced the festival had some 'news' for me.

It says his album will be released in APRIL. It also says people don't need to worry they don't recognise a song, cuz he will be playing many LIVE hits. Interesting to see a new (backing) band playing Chad's and Patrick's songs! (or not ...). Aside from K's Choice (Belgium), 'the EK-band seems to be the only non-Dutch act on the festival.

I doubt the album will be out in April, seeing that it is already March 1st. Ed said the single should be out in the next few months, and the album is targeted for late spring. I'm betting that the single will be out in Holland by May to coincide with his upcoming European Tour.

Hmm, yeah I read his blog now. April seems a lill too early, but I guess it will be out in May then.

You would think at least the single should be out when they are touring Europe. It wouldn't make sense to bring your band overseas without anything to promote.

Hasnt Live done this since 2006? smile.gif

But seriously, I agree, at least the single should be out by than. But as Dutch radio always picked up Live's new songs very early in the past, I'm not doubting it will be out in Holland before that festival.

Anyone any idea what the single will be (like) ?
Zion? Everlasting Love? Or something else?
I go for Everlasting Love, which could easily be as big of a hit as Heaven was, I think, at least here.

I think Everlasting Love would be a strong choice for a first single. It just would work on multiple non-rock formats. However, without hearing the other ten songs on the album, it is anyone's guess what the single will be.

Zion is out since we already have the studio version. It wouldn't be a good single anyway.

There are a few more bands that are not from the Netherlands, besides K's Choice and Ed Kowalczyk (for example Dog eat Dog, Admiral Freebee, Das Pop), but it is true that most of the bands are form the Netherlands. Ed and his new band is headliner of the festival. I have mixed feelings about this show, it will be weird to see this 'new band' play 'old Live songs'... I will probably go though. Anyone else here?
