Alright, we've had offerings from 3 avenues (Live - Believe, The Gracious Few - Appetite, and Eddie K - Zion).

They each provide a different sound and hint to what could be (or could have been) on the next album. Now that they've had time to sink in which have you enjoyed the most?

I think it's not fair to compare them now, as we haven't heard the versions of the songs on the same level.

Ed song was almost cd quality, TGF's was only a demo version (cuz they start mixing late februari) and Live's 'new' song debuted only in a youtube/cellphone recording...

Aside from that, I dont think I can really choose. Enjoyed them all for what they were.

Appetite, believe, zion. In that order. I may be biased because I was lucky to have the chance to see believe in person.

Where is DWLF on here? It is newer than believe... oh I get it, you need one song to represent each. I think Everlasting love was way better than Zion. Something happened in production that made Zion less impressive. I think Everlasting love is the best new song.

Right now, without going back and listening to any of them again - Zion. I just dig it. Need to listen to Appetite again, in all fairness.

I was choosing one song from each group that would possibly be (or would have been) on the next album.

Believe was a Live song. DWLF was and Eddie K song. That's why I chose Believe. It is the newest known song from the band. DWLF probably will not be on EK's record. Zion, for fact, will be. Appetite is all we have from TGF.

Well we'll still get to hear Believe just renamed and with different lyrics on the gracious few album still I guess.

I vote 'believe'

Zion is ok

Appetite also - but it does that candlebox thing where it builds as if something is coming....and stops, i like the structure of 'Believe' better and that was with a rubbish recording!

This was my main problem with it .. the build up is fine, the rest of the song is fine .. but they transition horribly .. after the build up you get the feeling it'll explode LJ style or something, but it turns into a happy-go-lucky type riff .. which I dont dislike or anything, i just find the first few seconds of the riff to be really awkward.

If I could vote again, it would be for Appetite. A million times over. Zion is still decent, though. smile.gif
