Can anyone point me to TDTH demos? I have three songs...The Distance, F&G and Vine Street. I'm wondering how I missed Still Aroused or if I had it and lost it. Damn, I must be losing it. Any help would be greatly be appreciated.

I don't know the details of the publishing rights dispute, but one thing I thought of when they gave these tracks aways is -- wouldn't it be funny if Ed somehow stole the publishing rights to make all of the money on the previous Live catalogue, but the other three members still have some ownership rights to the songs that would enable them to spite Ed by giving away all the tracks for free. Ha ha. That would be funny. "Well, we won't get to make any money if these track are ever sold because Ed stole the publishing rights, but we still have the power to just give them away, and make them useless to Ed."

I'm not saying that happened. I really appreciate the fact that Patrick gave such a generous, gracious gift. But I just thought of that funny fantasy. Wouldn't it be funny if the other three just open the vaults and give away Ed's money-making publishing rights. And we all benefit.

lol that would be good .. or what would be better is if Ed announced that in a few weeks he was going to be releasing a very special rarities album for $30 with all these songs and then they just "somehow" got leaked online for free days after the announcement thumbsup.gif

I'm pretty sure the dispute wasn't over the old songs, it's about the newer "Ed" songs from the last couple of albums. He controls the publishing rights to the songs he wrote in their entirety, and receives any money from those songs, unlike the earlier albums, which were credited to the entire band so everyone made money.

So here's your question of the day: if you want to "blame" Ed for the sound of the last few albums, doesn't he deserve the money from that sound? smile.gif omg.gif rockin.gif nervous.gif

Change is a great tune. Maybe we'll see it surface in the near future???

Thanks a lot for the TDTH demos! Still cannot believe I never had the studio version of Still Aroused until now.

It's been a very good Live week for me so far...

Better question, was the last album even worth any money? Sometimes I still can't believe SFBM is an album I never bought, the only Live albums I never bought.

Just heard the songs. Mall Rat is decent but Photograph is beautiful - reminded me why I fell in love with this band. I actually feel bad for all my Ed bashing, but I'm sure it'll pass and it will be business as usual soon enough! Thanks Pat and +Live+

Try to listen to it again then you will remember why you did not buy it...

Photograph is def a really cool song, for so long we had that scratchy faint version. Loving both of these gems. Chad's guitar solo on Rats is very good. Keep em coming boys.

I agree with the sentiments on why they might have been released. I think they serve multiple purposes!!

oh I know why I didn't buy it. Just that for so long live was one of those bands I'd buy every album for. Couldn't imagine going "ah fuck it, I'll just download it". Yet that's what happend
