The more I listen to it though the more I like it ... it has its flaws but overall I really like it. While im not sold on Martin's voice just yet, he does a good job in making you believe that they sampled voice from the 1970s and planted them on a modern song.

Its different in its own way. It's titled a working track isn't it, it's prob not th finished product. None the less, I think it's great. Kevin can sound like whoever he wants, all I want to hear is rock n roll.

God damn I completely missed this. Woe is me... I saw the title "Appetite" and thought "that'll be nothing interesting."

The song gets better the more you listen to it.

But now I've heard their sound in a full song, I'm extra excited how their covers will sounds and which they will choose to cover. Imagine this sound when they cover some Live songs (as they promised). Weird but cool!

I'm not having an argument - I am merely stating my opinion which you clearly don't like. Well tough titty on that.

They could play thrash metal for all I care as long as they made it sound original and interesting. Which they didn't in this case. Unless their little spin on 70s era metal bands was sounding just like every other band that came after the heyday of the genre. The only spin they put on it was an intro that didn't quite gel and sounded like a torturously extended version of what Velvet Revolver did at the beginning of Slither.

The difference with Live is they were influenced by U2 and REM yet sounded nothing like either. By Throwing Copper they sounded only like Live.

No argument here either. I just don't get that perspective. I don't have that expectation. To me, Ed was clearly chanelling Bono and Michael Stipe even if his voice sounded different. No different than Kevin chanelling Paige and Johnson to me. But if you don't like it that's cool.

I don't really dislike it, I just don't like it any more than I like Ed's offering. It's only a demo so I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt. Damn, there's what I've been doing with Live from V onward!

I ignored the fact that they could sing live songs... Most live songs wouldn't work. We can hope for stage though.

Although it's 3/4, it doesn't sound like a Live song at all.



The very beginning of intro of the song reminded me of Mighty K.C. by Four Squirrels.

As i did not have access to the internet for some days i missed all this and of course Appetite. Anybody to help? Is there a way to listen to the song?
