Sure, I like it much more than Candlebox and yes, Kevin's voice suits this kind of music perfectly.

Still do not know whether I like Zion or this one more...

Only 3 hours till New Year in Russia... Will give the songs more spins in 2010.

Still posted on the Dutch LIVE website. According to the copy, they worked a deal with Chad to keep it posted.

The Dutch fanclub and Chad agreed to help promote TGF earlier, so we boldly put up the song. Today Chad asked us to take it down which we did.

This shit rocksssssssssssssssssssssssssss. Why couldn't have Live release shit like this?

Because it sounds like old school 70s rock rather than 90s alt rock?

Kevin.... Kevin.... do Back In Black! rockin.gif

I'm glad we've finally had a full song to hear. I'm with Deku on this one though. Both Appetite and Zion are well put together songs with great vocals, but they both lack originality or have successfully managed to put a new twist on genres done to death. So once again, meh.

So they are supposed to create some new sort of genre? I don't get the argument that because it sounds like Led Zep or AC/DC that it somehow diminishes the song. Their influences are what they are and this is the music we get. Same as early Live, which was clearly influenced by U2 and R.E.M.

I enjoy a lot of bands that have been clearly influenced by other great bands. This to me sounds like Brian Johnson is singing it.

I wonder why they only wanted it online for a little while? Like a sneak peek or something?

I like it .. at least the music, im still not sold on Martin's voice ... there are moments where its quite Robert Plantesque and I do like that as Robert Plant is awesome ... there are moments when it is quite Brian Johnson-like and that is a very, very bad thing .. because as we all know, AC/DC is the worst band in the history of music. Still at least it's not *too* Brian Johnson-like because he doesnt sound like he's just stubbed his toe and is bouncing around the studio screaming something completely indecipherable.

The build up doesnt seem to quite flow into the main song/riff that well .. right at the apex of the build up it feels like the song is about to explode and kick you in the face .. but it just sort of turns into a almost happy-go-lucky classic rock riff.. which isnt bad, but they dont seem to connect that well. Overall, not super impressed, but I also reckon that TGF aren't exactly gonna play their trump card too soon, and I expect other songs will be a lot better.

I'm not having an argument - I am merely stating my opinion which you clearly don't like. Well tough titty on that.

They could play thrash metal for all I care as long as they made it sound original and interesting. Which they didn't in this case. Unless their little spin on 70s era metal bands was sounding just like every other band that came after the heyday of the genre. The only spin they put on it was an intro that didn't quite gel and sounded like a torturously extended version of what Velvet Revolver did at the beginning of Slither.

The difference with Live is they were influenced by U2 and REM yet sounded nothing like either. By Throwing Copper they sounded only like Live.
