someone who believes in a talking snake in a big garden and that the earth is 5000 years old is not a great thinker. There are definitely Christians who don't believe either of those things. Not all Christians are conservative fundies (which is a very common portrayal).

Who believes in that? Most Atheists and agnostics make no claim to know how the universe started. We find it pretty damn arrogant to claim that you own that knowledge.

Which in turn is almost as stupid as believing some omnipotent being who just popped into existence from nowhere created everything in 6 days.But I'm not starting an argument on what or who is the stupidest as I've got better things to do than get into a circular argument.
