I did own an original TDOAD cassette. I originally bought it from an Australian gentleman for the agreed price of $500 USD. He had purchased it several years earlier for $315 or so. I turned around and sold mine a few years back for $700 USD.

@Kymra: Susan has claimed $1000+ for TDOAD for many years. I've met the lady and I believe her tale. I would have paid it myself if that had been my only option.

@Susan: I reckon you still owe me a Heineken and about 3 hours of my life. I accept PayPal.

I know what she claims, Swami. I know her very well. And she is full of it. Trust me on this one.

If anybody has an original DOAD tape in excellent condition and wants to unload it, I'd be interested in buying it.

I used to be friendly with her. People told me I shouldn't ( important people in Live-land, actually) and I didn't listen. She's a total liar and fucked me over countless times.

It doesn't pay to be the nice guy sometimes!!

He took you on the cheap, turned around and sold it. Must be a DOAD dealer!

I've got a CD bootleg of it. I'm good!

Nope it wasn't me, I've never owned an original DOAD tape.

I still have my copy. I was really bothered by the recent breakup and contemplated selling it.

I'm really on the fence about it.

Anyway, to answer this thread about how I acquired the DOAD cassette. I'm not far from Live's origins in Lancaster, PA but didn't really get into the band until some friends played Mental Jewelry for me back in 1992. A few shows later in 1994 while taking some summer classes at a local university I came across it at the local cd shop. The guy had just traded for it and knew I liked them (he was more metal oriented) and I was able to buy it for $15.

Around the same time the SOY email/newsletter/digest started up and I transcribed the lyrics for everyone on the list. I think I ended up making 10-15 copies of it for different people on the list (sneakily dubbing it to a "master copy" and using that to make further copies, saving wear and tear on the original).
