Ok, a real thread with some substance.

I'm proposing some songs I'd love to see TGF perform to augment their setlist.

Come on TGF, if you're reading, consider these please. I think it would be totally awesome.

1). Young Man Blues - The Who's Live at Leeds disc from the 70's (Mose Allison cover)

(Foo Fighters did this too, and it rocked !!)

2) Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Hey Hey, My My

3) Led Zeppelin - Black Dog

4) Led Zeppeling - Four Sticks

Kiss - Hard luck Woman

This one is for Kevin's voice.

Uriah Heap ~ Lady in Black

This is damn catchy and allows for a lot of exploration by the band. Prevalent bass would make pat smile.

Dio ~ Hollywood Black

The perfect song for them. Singer and band could jam to this and most people are unaware it exists. In fact, most songs by Dio would sound awesome by TGF.

This is all speculation though... we have never heard the band.

I'm for the Dio song badman.

The Kiss song (I do love Kiss), not so much.....it's an old and tired and covered way too much.

The UH song if they turned it way way up.

Yeah, the kiss song was making fun of kevin. For any song I am assuming they would make the song their own instead of a straight cover.

I really think the Young Man Blues and the Neil Young songs would fit their hard sound image with their own spin. I would love to hear both......so TGF, get practicing!!! thumbsup.gif

I agree, the Neil Young stuff would be awesome!

I'd be down for anything Zeppelin, Candlebox has always done a lot of Zeppelin covers.

The Who would be another great choice.

What about Live or Candlebox songs that they might play? They said it would be obscure stuff. For Live I'd love to hear Good Pain, Century, Unsheathed, Stage, and countless others. For Candlebox it would be anything off their Lucy album, which was sadly ignored.

I'm all for the obscure songs you listed. I'd like to see a mega set with the amps smoking at the end of the show.

I think the best covers involve going WAY out of your bubble. This way, you have created a bridge and nothing to compare it to. Good example is Confide's cover of Such great Heights by The Postal service.

Confide is a screamo crabcore band and The Postal Service is a pussy 90's indie-pop band.

Confid Such Great Heights

The Postal Service Such Great Heights.

Yeah I'm concerned they aren't going to have enough money to break shit. But, if they do I want to see some broken shit.
