Interesting story Swami, for sure. But hey, lots of after hours whoring goes on in Montreal.

Ah, my birthplace! Montréal really puts the 'ho' in hometown.

Wow! Ed really started something with that finger aimed at TGF...

The finger's target is not a fact, just a theory made up by a couple of disgruntled fans. We should keep this in mind.

Wow I hope this is the signal his wife is giving him right now.... All his enemies should be running from him because he's bad news.. It's funny it seems to me that most of the later live albums seem to be about not his own family but a famous dutch singer (and of course his interpretation of what she symbolizes: See lyrics for "all I need" and assimilate to all the new agey stuff he spouts). She looks like the girl from the Heaven concept album (coincidence?? You decide).
(BTW-I figured this out solely through this message board, videos, and song lyrics;) ).
Karma's a bitch........

Think people might be jumping to conclusions on the whole Live breakup situation, something isnt adding up AT ALL:

If Chad, Chad, and Pat hated the music so much then why did they release SFBM? If they were only making the CD for the livelihood/money they how can then not know the terms of their own recording contract?? something doesnt add up

Sex sells doesn't it? About time us girls got some on the internet! (re Ed's playgirl site!) He looks really skinny though in that leaning forward shot taken on the construction site. He obviously likes himself in it though!

Do you think we ought to remind him of the salutory lesson Peter Steele learned about naked photoshoots before Ed gets his wang out. Or should we just sit back and laugh when there are a queue of men backstage with stained, sticky printouts asking for autographs? lol.gif

the picture speaks for itself. Z-man told ed he was a big fan, and when ed asked why he wasnt wearing his eklive pendant there was a long awkward silence and z-man slowly backed away. Ed is still standing there with that expression on his face to this day.

Song is very good..Alot better than anything on SFBM and on par with the better songs on BOP..def has an aggressive feel to it and makes me optimistic for new CD

I think Chad answered the questions about SFBM in his blog by discussing why they stayed together as a band, as well as how the secret contract worked. It hasn't been said exactly how it effected the guys financially, and I doubt we'll ever know. I doubt it was a sudden drop in earnings or anything, but the fact is it was a secret agreement that the band wasn't made aware of.

There are plenty of threads discussing it in great detail.

All speculation based entirely on Chad's blog. There are still no real answers to questions asked by people like mattyeagles: why didn't they know the terms of their own publishing contract?

Because it likely had nothing specifically to do with SFBM. that's why.

You make an album, that's one particular album. Any business or contracts around said album, like any project, are relative to that project.

There can be other contracts that reference the Live collection as a whole, which would contain SFBM, but not limited to just the scope of SFBM, therefor around the recording of SFBM it may have gone under the radar.

Have any of you guys been involved with a professional band before?

The simplest way to say it is that there are hundreds of ways to manipulate contracts in music publishing. There are loads of different contracts, some of which Chad talks about in the blog, and due to the volume of contracts it is entirely conceivable that Ed could sign something that effects the other guys without their knowledge.

Not knowing the specific situation, it is impossible to say what actually happened and why they didn't actually know. I don't think we'll ever know the specifics.

All that to say, what Chad says is not far fetched at all.

Karma's a bitch........

If anyone needs more proof for this, wonder at his use of "Walk the Line" (though sadly I thought this version was awesome) at the end of his AWAKE Dvd/video combo... Has anyone seen walk the line? See the correlations to his own life/secret life? why he always wears black (aside from the matrix :/). But actually while I'm at it if everyone really wants to know where some of the later music has come from SFBM is NOT about this person... (lyrics : mystery? I thought i had it all figured out...yadda yadda...) It's actually about someone who had their nervous breakdown on the message board (the FOL board years ago-- around the time awake came out) (Bring your "burning skin to the river"-- anyone remember a really weird post regarding this?). But, he ignores everyone in the end and pushes them aside so it doesn't really matter. It's all logic, I've never actually talked directly to anyone, this is all just a logical deduction from my own experiences on these message boards.........
Fuck you Ed! It sucks to have everyone looking down on you at the worst part of your life, doesn't it??

sogno, you are as mad as a box of frogs. Your logical deductions are about as logical as a mathematical equation of 1 + 1 = pineapple upside down cake.

The last few posts actually make me wonder whether or not sfbm could have been involved with this 'contract'.....simply because it has been widely discussed previously that sfbm is really just an ed solo album. I wonder if The rest of the band really did anything on this album or not? Purely speculation I know, but if they didn't contribute then perhaps Ed felt he deserved greater compensation for his input and this is what pissed off the other 3?

Anyway who really cares I like that it has got them all fired up now Ed has remembered how to put some angst into his music and hopefully it will also fire up tgf to rock on also and we'll have twice the good music to listen to!

What the hell are you smoking. All I see is a big blob of text and a random crazy rant. The only thing deducted here was the logic.

You just realized this now? This is the only Live related board where you can actually share your TRUE and REAL thoughts without feeling like someone is gonna jump down your throat and then ban you (or call your work and try to get you fired).

Yeah, I have only recently realised it. Honestly, a few times when I checked in here there was some real nasty stuff going on (not like these demise of Live threads) and it put me off. But you're absolutely right about someone jumping down your throat on the other board - it's their opinion or no opinion.
