I think you and several others just might be taking one photo way too seriously and imbuing it with meaning that simply isn't there.

It's a photo of Ed flipping the bird - maybe he's pissed because he doesn't have chevy with a butterfly door? Maybe he's doing his own pap shots? Who knows? Who cares? He could have shown his arse for all I care.

If you want me, I'll be sat at the back sharing popcorn with Sonic Tonic. Thanks for the warm up act while we're waiting for the floorshow.

Stop it.........He's flipping the bird at Chad, Chad and Pat, You can spin this all you want, its another transparent move by Ed. Shall we have a poll on it? taylor.gif

Of the newer EK songs this has always been the best. I enjoy the acoustic version much better than this souped up over produced version. His vocals sound good, the backing band sounds a lot like Live (right down to the guitar tones, drum sounds, and the syncopated drum beats).

All in all it sounds like SFBM II, as expected.

There are only two newer ED songs out there, and only one studio version released. To call any song "the best" is very premature.

Zion flat out rocks and sounds nothing like SFBM. His backing band is strong, and sounds different from Live(not better). I was especially impressed with Jen Lowe when I saw her play with Ed in NJ in October. That girl can rock out pretty damn good!

The first song Ed released is good. Whatever backstage antics went on within Live should not affect that. If you only followed musicians with good character, your ipod would be a pretty empty place.

Indeed the syncopated drum beats are very CG.

About flipping the bird... maybe he just re-watched Fight Club and threw that in for shits and giggles.

Give me a break. You can poll it if you like, but the opinions of some fevered fans on an internet forum will not make overactive imagination a fact. Now if he'd e-mailed it to his ex band members and Chad was on here telling us, you might have a valid point rather than just getting a bit too carried away.

I'd seem to think by the pic being posted here is good enough to alert the other guys of the 'message'......that's my hypothesis.

I am not polling, that was to be taken in jest.

Reading comprehension is apparently a lost art. I said "Of the newer EK songs" loud and clear in my post. I also count 3 that we've heard so far (DWLF, Everlasting Love, Zion).

I thought my post was pretty complimentary of what is little more than a pedestrian pop rock song.

Also, I'm going to assume that the comment about "character" wasn't aimed at me because I haven't even remarked on this thread about Ed's actions. Either way, you can rest assured that I do pay a lot of attention to the actions of the musicians that I listen to. The music has to be really damn good to keep me interested in an artist who has done anything like EK has been accused of doing (note that I said accused of).

I try my best to not support artists who put their own fame in front of art.

Ed should make a video for this song. It's got a lot of rhythm and soul and would go good with a music video like the one below. Synchronize the song to the following video; turn down the youtube video of course. And crank up Eddie.. Press play at the same time. The dancing goes perfect; all they need is a few candles on stage to create a vibe... and Ed going crazy on stage.

Is that what Jesus would do? Give the finger with a hateful look on his face. Has The EK gotten to the part of the new testament about turning the other cheek and loving your neighbor? That was a little disappointing.

perhaps he's still stuck at the part where god is murdering babies out of jealousy that people like other gods better.

But about ed flippin the old up yours, i just see it as synonymous with being a rock star. Even if it is aimed at the others, who wants him to act like a choir boy? Its not nearly as bad as circulating an email implicating your friends in criminal behaviour.
