If the boys decide to move on as Live without Ed, should they get a known singer or search for an unknown?

If its a known singer, who would you pick?

I always liked the lead singer of Our Lady Peace but as far as I know, they are still together.

Chris Cornell would be awesome. He may have a bigger ego than Ed for all I know, but dude can sing.

Interesting choices, but I don't think Eddie Vedder, Dave Grohl or Chirs Cornell need to take such a career setback. Especially Dave Grohl as he's too busy being having a laugh seeing how many supergroup side projects he can be in anyway. And I really can't hear any of them singing Live songs.

Personally, I would not like to see the name Live used unless it the guys settled their differences and reformed. If they were more of a legendary band than they are, they could do what Alice In Chains did and get well known guest singers in until they found a relative unknown replacement that gelled but was totally different to their previous one. I don't see the point in Live's case as the band as an entity has died slowly over a decade rather than the lead singer.

Yeah I'd be happier with them not using the Live name at all.. definitely both EK and C/C/P should play Live songs at gigs .. but a Live album should only be the 4 of them. Because Candlebox aren't over I would assume at some point TGF will have to go on hiatus too, so I'm hoping when that happens that the other boys look to something else rather than a 'new Live'.

I agree with ya'll, I want the boys and Ed to reconcile..........this was purely a what if.


I used to like the band Fuel. They got an unknown to be their new singer, unfortunately he is horrible.

Abandon the idea of the new supergroup The Gracious Few, keep Kevin Martin, continue as Live and use the "The Gracious Few" as the title of Live's next studio album.

I don't the guys should replace Ed. If they're going to do something without Ed, for me, they might as well keep it in TGF or form another new band or something. That'd just be my preference, though.

i remember a good few years ago, people were speculating that EK was heading off to to be the new singer in Fuel. It might have been here or SOY...can't remember.

Oh and...I'm with you guys on the re-uniting of LIVE as EK, CT, CG and PD - but I've said it before on the boards already, I wouldn't mind seeing Adam K as singer for LIVE, if not for good, then for the time it takes for them to sort their issues out with EK. It wouldn't be so bad.
