I just got sick of everyone blaming the guys for what Ed did.

How did you get sick of anything if you just found the message board?

Well, if it doesn't do it for you up until now (don't know how much you heard of Candlebox) forcing it won't work. You probably never will. So.. well too bad for you I guess. I'm glad I'm a fan of Candlebox and his voice so I'm quite happy.
Good luck with all that. Hey you could always down the road overlap Ed's voice from his album on top of TGF album tongue2.gif Though that may result in a retarded musical offspring.

Well then like I said, don't expect that to change in TGF. Unless he really reinvented himself. But I doubt it.

I for one hope Gracey has. As a drummer I enjoy the energy in all the clips I heard from the TGF (audio and that blog) but I am not seeing him pushing any new boundries of his own playing. (technically speaking) For sure it's a step in the right direction and it's only a whole minute of drumming I heard so I will keep my ears ready. But it is still him and that same style. Now don't bitch me out, like it or not, my style is much influenced by him so I ain't no hater.

Same here. When I played with my last band, I used much from what I heard from him.

Speaking of Martin, I somehow hope his voice will suit the new music, which for sure differs from Candlebox. Strange expectations indeed, but that is all I hold out now for.

I doubt any alt/rock singer can reinvent themselves to have a totally different vocal style when playing in another alt/rock type band. Time will tell. Not really a Candlebox fan to be honest, but it was the music as much as the vocals. Maybe I might like his vocals if the music carries it.

Still not that excited by TGF by the looped riff and Gracey's drumming, though it was nice seeing the guys together. They can talk the talk, but they're still not walking the walk as of yet.

I know - I'm being extremely hard on them.

Ya that's the problem with hyping yourself up. Too much and fans' expectations will keep growing to the point where the actual music will no longer be able to meet those expectations. No matter how good it is. That's why I'm trying to stay leveled and not over thinking what the music will be. Though it is hard hahaha.

Ironicly Ed has (although not for the better) ... it still blows my mind the same man did the vocals for TDAOC or Freaks as did The River. That's a reinvention
