Ed said SFBM was like Thowing Copper.......yeah right, only the album cover similarities

Didn't he say that about Birds of Pray? Yeah right indeed, Bring the People Together sounded like Stage with its ball cut off...

Sorry but I liked Songs from Black Mountain and V. Birds of Pray was weak. If Ed writes the songs then the publishing should belong to him for the songs he wrote. .

omg.gif

Have you been reading? He signed a secret publishing agreement to get all the money, that is why the band broke up. He was getting the money, which is something the band never agreed to.

It sounds like the deal involved Ed getting the publishing rights to all songs, not just the ones he wrote himself.

^ are you sure bro? chad didnt really elaborate on the specifics of the financial implications of ed's actions or how it affected the rest of the band. He was vague in his explanation. "Get all the money". hmmm

Sorry, I was baffled by the comment I quoted and over exaggerated. smile.gif I didn't mean to write that he was getting all the money, just got carried away...

Just wanted to make the point that the post I quoted was pretty ignorant to the situation.

LOL Seriously, the guy either had a bowl of Rainbowlios for breakfast or he doesn't want anyone to think he ate a bowl of Dingleberry Crunch.

Who are these people giving him positive vibes? Cos there aren't many round here. I imagine he still has a legion of fangirls/boys who are refusing to wake up and smell the coffee? (except Ed's own brand, of course).
Regardless of whether he wants to start a twitter war or whatever, I think he owes it to the fans, like CT did, to post a message that at least explains why certain accusations have been made against him. Glossing over the issue with chocolate metaphors is pretty unconvincing. And I resent the 'my fans' part. I'm a LIVE fan. And believe it or not I'd like to see the guys back as mates, and creating great music by themselves or as LIVE. The fact that Live split up in such acrimonius circumstances is probably the most bitter chocolate to swallow

this has more drama and excitement live's last album. A true return to form for the band!!

Go boys, SELL that drama!

It's like they are the new Katie Price and Peter Andre. Alright, which one of them is going in the American version of I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here?

I've said this before, 10 years I'd have given a flying fuck, but not nowadays. In reality, I don't know these people at all on a personal level and never have. Over the last 10 years the last 3 albums of let me down easy as far as my love of the music with my whole heart and soul goes. So for me it's more thanks for the memories than feeling like my parents have split up as one poster said. I don't have enough emotional investment in Live's music nowadays to do more than sit back and enjoy the blog-o-twit war floorshow and shake my head.

ohw, I will tell ya: I remember even before releasing Mental Jewelry, he stated: "This debut album will sound very simular to Throwing Copper". Nobody understood what the man meant, tho.

That's pretty much how I feel. It's been 10 years since since they moved me musically (save for a song here and there), and I lost much interest. So now it's more like "this sucks, but whatever". I'm interested to see where this all goes but I ain't losing any sleep over it.
Maybe if this happened right after TDTH I'd be more upset, but not these days where Live has taken a backseat to many other bands that fill my tastes.

I don't have twitter but to his latest I say.......

EdK, did you ever get your $200 dollars from that lady who stiffed you at the Funhouse ??

They're still open and have music acts...perfect place for you now and near by, you can throw some 'change' into the slots.

Listen, You're a great singer and the band is my all time favorite, but I feel the dark history of past rock bands was lost on you .........why!!!!!

What I heard you did behind the the other guys back is douche man, downright criminal.

I strongly resemble this remark.

This band used to be my life. And Ed? Lets just say out of the top 5 celebrities I wanted to shag....he was 1-5. But somewhere around V (beginning of godawful waxed chest phase) I started to become very disenchanted with him. Not the other guys, just him. I realized that he was driving the direction that the band was taking, and I DID NOT like it. Not many of us long time fans did. I even expressed my concerns backstage and got the feeling the other guys were frustrated as well.

He is high if he thinks that most of us will rally around him. Think again jackass!

I haven't even downloaded the stupid dirty lotus flower or zion song. I am done being disappointed by a man who used to be able to move my very soul.

Bring on TGF!
