^^ that may be so, but those 35 seconds beat all of Ed's output. oh and that is MY opinion, so don't come bitching and flailing your arms here +Ed+, with your Ed- 100 and TGF - 0 tripe you've been running. oh and thumbsup.gif just so you don't pop a vain.

(though I do agree that it's been quite a long time since the announcement of TGF, and voiced my displeasure in how little actual music we have heard from them. But don't label me into one side or the other, though I'm sure it's more or less clear where I stand. As it's more or less clear to me knowing where other people's sides lie)

and with that, I think this fits oh so perfectly:

I have chosen my anthems
Of these I am proud
Portraits of a divided crowd

You need to install the Adobe Flash player plug-in for your browser.
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/

I had some issues getting it to work in Firefox, but it worked fine with Internet Explorer 8.0

It's only 5 seconds of video.

QUOTE
Gracious FewThere is fine line between a tease and releasing too much these days on the internet. You will not be disappointed when you hear the whole thing. Promise!

QUOTE
Gracious FewPeople We are sorry for the "tease" but it is all we can offer for now. Copyright is a big issue as you all know. We can assure you that we will "tease" you more and the then ONE DAY we will put up a WHOLE song. And then ONE DAY the WHOLE record will be available....hahahaha PROMISE!! And Darren....NO we are not "self centered" if a group of people could even be such a thing.
TGF

I can see what they are stating here, especially bout the copyright being a big issue (although Ed doenst give a shit about that - see DWLF on youtube tongue.gif ), but why releasing 5 SECONDS PREVIEWS? It's like nothing, it could just be a mobile-phone recording of a random song on the radio. It only teases people because it just doenst reveal ANYTHING.

I'm still excited to hear their finished album tho smile.gif

Actually, Ed and Karsh more than likely copyrighted the song already since it was finished, same goes for Everlasting Love.

Copyright is the reason we don't have any samples with vocals, as melodies and lyrics are what is traditionally copyrighted. If these guys had recorded full band demos with vocals the songs would likely be copyrighted and it wouldn't matter, but apparently they didn't do that.

I don't mind the 5 second sample because well, they clearly don't want to share more than that and that's really their choice to make.

Anybody else think the drumming in that little 5 second clip sounds pretty cool?

Edit: Ah! Nevermind I was listening to another song in the background. Not to hate on Gracey's drumwork in the clip, or anything.

I came across this forum, I think its awesome. I want to address some negative things that were said about The Gracious Few.

I have first hand inside knowledge to what happened as I know someone close to Live just like heyimjude....
Without a doubt it was Ed that caused the break up. Chad, Chad & Pat wanted to continue. Then lets just say that the three members obviously were a little upset. They didnt say a word at all. However through this process lets just say that it was uncovered that Ed had done some devious things behind the others backs that resulted in the diversion of money from the bands collective pocket into Ed's pocket....Call it what you want to call it....Its a slap in the face to guys. Can you blame them for any comments?
This was a GROUP. 4 members.....Who wrote Mental Jewelry, Distance to Here, Secret Samadhi and throwing copper? All four of them. Lakini's juice what is more distinct the lyrics or when Chad starts the intro with Ruby Lou? CT wrote that himself as with many of the other great guitar intros..he hasnt been given the credit for his work. Everyone thinks it was all Ed.... When they wrote as a team they were most successful. When Ed decided to write all by himself (Birds of Prey and Songs from black mountain.... they are NOWHERE CLOSE to the other albums.....

From what I hear and I was lucky enough to get a sample of 2 songs the sound is amazing with the Gracious Few. It really is ROCK....Its not heavy metal, its not live, its not candlebox...its just hard hitting rock. the guitar riffs are amazing, the bass is palpable and the drums hit you hard and Kevin's voice goes perfectly with it all.....if these two songs are the only good ones and the rest stunk, I would still buy the album. However from what I hear all the songs are really good and a few have #1 potential... I know both I heard are top 10 material with the one definitely being number 1.
I wish I had a copy of it but I was allowed to listed to it in a friends car and he took my phone from me so I didnt record it....

So all I say is give them a chance. Even though I am so disapointed in Ed, I will still buy his cd and support him, however the way he screwed over the other 3 members is unconscionable....

If that was me, I would be telling everyone what a douch bag he was. But they have been "Gracious" (pun intended)
Bottom line is that in Ed's head he got bigger than the band...it is typical of most "frontman" they think they are bigger than the whole....but they arent.....

The other interesting thing is that the three of them can still perform as "Live" where as Ed can not use that distinction. It will be interesting to see if they ever brought back live would they bring Ed back or replace him with a new lead singer....I would think the latter as I would be willing to bet that they cant trust him anymore.
And from what I hear the name of the band was not a knock at anyone and I think it was Kevin that came up with the name. I think it just means they are thankful for what they had and what they are beginning. Im wasnt a fan of the name, until I saw the logo! It works for me know!

And as for stupid names... The Grateful Dead on its face value is on par with the The Gracious Few. They are very similar as far as how they sound and structure....The Music made the name Grateful Dead what it was.

I do not know what happened with the money but it is clear to me Ed destroyed everything with V, ten years ago and he carried on with his crap with SFBM. The 3 guys decided to say no more and i thank them for that.

I agree, however people have been trying to say that CT is making negative comments or that CG made comments that were uncalled for.....I think they were very nice and gave Ed every opportunity. It was Ed that threw everything in their face and to make insult to injury....STOLE from the group. Lets call it what it is....If it was me, I would have sued his a$$ and said worse things....From what I hear the 3 guys are really great guys and are so down to earth and it was Ed that was stuck up and in the past few years even when they would be on tour he wouldnt even be in the same dressing room or even talk to the guys before the show.....Its because he was probably racked with guilt over what he did with the money.
