Why'd you clip the song short? You weren't doing bad. Is that a G-series Takamine? I picked one up a few years back, and all though I'm a fan of Live, I insist that it wasn't because it's like Ed's guitar. It was legitimately the best sounding guitar at my budget.

I took a gander at the I Alone video you had as well, try playing the verse with the bar chords and the chorus as E (like you are) -> B (Bar Chord) -> G (Open Chord)

Notes names are relative to standard tuning hand formations of course, I know they are tuned flat.

I am going to be recording some +LIVE+ songs on flip and post them over...I F uped the words in I alone...so I want to take my time and do it right..I will try what you are saying...I learned guitar only by listening and figuring songs out that way...Im a complete hack at guitar and am starting to learn notes.. no.gif ,,,now I know whats its like when I give a beginner a golf lesson...

Dude I've only be playing for a few years myself. I've payed attention to some of Ed's solo shows (Video) which is why I know exactly how he plays his songs.

How long you been singing? I started trying to sing around the same time as playing guitar. I think the guitar abilities are outpacing the singing but I'm slowly getting better and better. I one day hope Im good enough to play small coffee shops and stuff. I dig solo acoustic because I can be as dedicated as I need to be without depending on a band.

I actually played in my 1st band in 2007, I sang in played limited guitar..then in 2008 I joined a guitar player and we started a duo which is a HELL of ALOT easier then dealin with a band..unloading, packing up, getting home @ 4 am..all the BS...we played since NOV of 2007 and its 2 years this month, in June we picked up a drummer who plays gigs with us as a 3 piece and we play anywhere from twice a month to 5's a month...its a freakin blast, I totally enjoy playing out...I know what your sayin about the solo stuff, I actually enjoy letting loose when we have a bass player joining us and with the electrics..my life is go go but when I play it all calms the fuck down...no doubt +LIVE+ as I stated many times is one of my major influences...I am getting back in to classic rock..Ive been stuck on alternative for years...but people want to hear a variety of music so have to know a ton of songs...we go from Cat Stevens to Chris Issak to Alice in Chains to LIVE to Procal Harum..all over the place...next gig Black Friday..we'll cover..Walk The line, I Alone, Selling the Drama, Lightning Crashes that night
