Were any aussies just watching sports tonight on channel 10? They were going to an ad break and were showing a preview of what was to come after the break and played a version of The Dolphin's Cry which I'd never heard ... it sounded almost like some weird metal version .. heaps slower but electric and more bass heavy. If you took the dolphin's cry normally and slowed it down a little then that's what it sounded like ... have I been out of the loop and a version like this is just common knowledge or what?

definitely sounded like Ed singing it .. ive done more looking into it ... cant find anything about it. My friend was watching it and knows live and said he definitely noticed it different to the album version .. I honestly think they just slowed it down ..... for some completely unknown reason.

I've always figured someone at channel 10 must be a big live fan .. so many times they've had the football on and when they go to a ad break at quarter/half/3 quarter time and show highlights of the match so far, there is usually a Live song played at least once most weekends ... and really strange choices too, I remember hearing "All I need" and had to remind myself that Live did indeed make a song by that title.

LMAO laugh.gif I slowed the song down and Ed sounds black. Listen to this! The guitars sound way better in the chorus btw

I'm sorry for the ghetto upload but Mediafire is not working at the moment.

I wonder if it is the version by a guy who was on Rocksar Supernova -- one of those reality shows. I have the name on my ipod and will post it!

Yep, that was his name. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wv-NVxGnERk

I think that Pokey would have noticed (if it was the Magni version) that it was a quite different voice then Ed.
