Fo my next Live DVD project, I'll be putting together a series of 3 DVDs of the MuchMusic/MusiquePlus Canadian broadcasts to be shared here at fansoflive:

- 1997 Intimate & Interactive
- 1999 Live at Musiqueplus
- 2001 Live at Musiqueplus

Thanks to Dan, I have high quality digital rips of the 1999 and 2001 broadcasts but was wondering if anyone might have some info on the best source available for 1997 Intimate & Interactive?

WMVs are available here but I was hoping that someone out there might have higher quality rips of the videos than these shrug.gif

I'm going to put a few suitable bonus features on these discs so I am also searching for the following:

- Pinkpop 1997 videos
- Tonight Show with Jay Leno 2001 performance of Overcome with string quartet
- Cold Live @ The Chapel 2000 videos

Any help with this would be much appreciated thumbsup.gif

In the meantime, here's a sneak peak at the artwork I'm working on for the 1997 DVD:

Dear Ridley,

It really looks promising.
I do have a videofile from PINKPOP 1997 !!
If you can tell me what quality you need to be able to have a good quality of the endproduct (DVD) AND tell me how to figure this out, I can (one way or another) send this file to you.

Waiting for your comment,

Maurice

Brilliant Maurice! Obviously I would be after the best possible quality, but I'm not sure if there is anything out there better than the mpegs that used to be up on bootlegheaven. Saying that - I don't even have a copy of those anymore so I'd definitely appreciate it if you could send me what you have!

A good way to transfer files for free is using mediafire. You simply click "Create a free account" (top RH corner), then "Upload files" and follow the instructions. Once you have uploaded, you can shoot me a PM with the address and I can download it from there.

Thanks so much and let me know if you have any trouble.

Cheers! victory.gif

Since there is so little footage from the SS era I thought it would be good to consolidate it all in this project... besides... can you ever really get enough of Lakini's Juice? rockin.gif rockin.gif rockin.gif

How did this turn out? Did you get to finish it? What's your source for the SNL videos? I have the LJ video in a high quality mpeg2 file.

Hey there! Is that "river_rage" from the old illout board? hi.gif

The project has actually been on hold since my last post (life got in the way) but Maurice never got back to me with the higher quality Pinkpop videos anyway so I am still in need of those, and I was hoping to source a better copy of the I&I show (I have a set of very average wmv's totalling 562mb - surely there's something better out there?)

If you can help by uploading that high quality LJ SNL video (or anything else you might have) it would certainly be muchly appreciatory thumbsup.gif

Yep that's me. I miss that old thing. People aren't screaming and insulting each other as much over here tongue2.gif

I know the feeling off stuff getting in the way all too well.
I'm not sure that there is a good looking version of I&I out there. If there is I haven't seen it. Actually I didn't even know about the existence of the WMV's until I saw this thread.
I have the show from a different source, but I doubt that it's better than the files you already have. I put it on YouTube, if you want to compare:
http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=F28157C38AF304FD

I'll see if I can upload the LJ video to mediafire today.
EDIT: Here's the link to the LJ video: http://www.mediafire.com/?jnnawnzu5dg

This is Maurice.
MEA CULPA and I am sorry.
If you follow the link below you will see some moments of PINKPOP 1997.
This is the quality I found in my collection.
If this quality is good enough please let me know.
I will upload the complete file (approx. 1,2 Gbyte).

Haha, yeah. Though this place does have its moments, ususally followed by a string of dancing bananas... wink.gif

I also remember sharing bootlegs track by track on dial-up through some dos-based-looking program (the name of which escapes me), dem was the dayz...

Thanks for the LJ video, top quality there (I'm guessing you don't have the Heropsychodreamer vid from the same broadcast?)

I checked out your I&I vids on youtube - looks to be the exact same original source. What format are yours in and how many mb? I have a feeling these wmv I have may have been taken from compressed from a larger digital source...

Maurice, thanks for uploading that snippet - but it looks to be exactly the same version I already have (though much larger as it is AVI). Cheers anyway! thumbsup.gif

I guess you mean mIRC? My computer was pretty much on 24/7 back then serving stuff in the #livenet channel. That was indeed cool times... Filesharing has sure come a long way since then.

My I&I show is one avi file of the complete show weighing in at around 700 MB. I just cut it up to put on youtube. It's sourced from a VHS, like most stuff from those days.

Unfortunately I don't have HPD in the same quality as LJ, because in the reairings of SNL they only include one of the songs performed.

ridley asked me for my version of I&I, so I uploaded it to mediafire. Here are the links if anyone wants it. I'm not sure if it's better than the wmvs, which were posted already, but here it is.
