EDDIEKLIVE It's official; the EK/Metropole Concert will be a DVD/Album! There were a total of 10 cameras and 2 cranes for video, it will be amazing!
Seems like Ed vs TGF is 4-0 now....

cool! Although it's kinda sad that we as Live fans had to wait like 10.000 years before a DVD was released, and Ed has gone solo for like a few months and a DVD release is in the making! weird!
I think he's rushing things a bit. Please release a proper studio album first Ed Than release a dvd of a show in which you sing all of your OWN solo songs.

I'm quite excited to hear this all of a sudden tho. Bring it on!

Don't these guys realize that every cd they've sold, every city they've had the privilege of visiting, and every girl they've banged, it was because of Ed.. Ed's vocals are what pushed Live to the forefront of the music world. You'd think they'd be a little bit.. umm.. gracious?

I've gotta say, this may be true now but I think it was far from the truth back when the band was taking off. In the grunge era people cared a lot less about vocals than they do now. People just wanted to ROCK. I mean listen to the vocals of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, etc. All appealing in their own way, but not the kind of vocals that launch a band to stardom. Yes Ed has a great voice but back then it was all about the songs and of course being mad at your parents, religion, etc. etc.

WHY NOW?! much of the speculation on this board and others includes the belief that Ed's musical choices recently (SFBM) splintered the band...

I don't wanna ruin your excitement, but please read my post in the other thread: don't believe what Ed say. Or maybe it's a lill harsh to say just not to believe him, but don't take it too seriously.

Release of BoP: "It's like the Throwing Copper II"
At the release of SFBM: "This really reminds of our first album, Mental Jewelry".

I bet it won't be anything like TC and TDTH!!! It may be quite good tho! Especially the song 'Zion' hints to that believe. 'Everlasting Love' shows that it may also be very simular to 'Forever'. The album also has the same producer as this song, so it will sound very post-2000-Live, and nothing like the 90ies. Then again, 'Dirty Water, Lotus Flower' let us believe that Ed does some experiences. So all together, he may surprise us at some level.

But please, please don't get your hopes up for a new TC or TDTH. Cuz you may be very, very dissapointed is u do. But as I posted before, I won't judge before I hear the final product.
