Good stuff. The band is really rockin' it but the lead singer feels artificial. The way he says mother fucker sounds like a kid on the playground who is trying to hang out with the bad kids.

Not bad. Not really a fan but the guy's a great performer. Having already not cared much at all about The Gracious Few, I now care a little!

The video was good. I dusted off my old Candlebox CD and put some songs on my ipod. I've been listening to Far Behind, Cover Me, Change and You. I love Cover Me.

So don't listen. Why do you want to enjoy it? Cause you're afraid you won't like TGF? Well tough shit, move on. You can't force yourself to like music. You have EddieK music to enjoy at least. See I wanted to like the stuff he is putting out but I detest it, and so whatever, I'm moving on.

I am not really sure how you can tell whether someone is "real" or not on a video. Just sayin'.

Glad there are some people enjoying Candlebox after checking them out! They are pretty different from Live but I've enjoyed nearly everything they've put out. The lead guitarist and drummer are especially talented and have done a lot of work in jazz and other musical styles. I've really enjoyed Kevin Martin's voice a lot more as he has gotten older and gotten a more gruff quality.

I've recommended it on several other threads but make sure to check out Kevin Martin and the Hiwatts, its a badass solo project and really highlights Kevin's songwriting talent.

Very true. If Kevin's vocals fit the TGF stuff, I am gonna enjoy it. I just do not like it for now..

I have a somewhat funny story about how I started listening to Candlebox.

I actually just started listening to Candlebox (at the end of May). I always throught that Candelbox was a "Grunge" band. I am not a big fan of "grunge" music ( I like Nirvana, but that all and Mother Love Bone is cool, but I do not consider them to be a "grunge" band). "Far Behind" and "You" were great songs, but I never really listened to them.

Two of my friends, Brian Quinn & Danny Beissel of the band Fosterchild thought they might be playing with Candlebox this summer (which never happened).

I decided I should listen to Candlebox, incase they did play together.
When I did I realized that they weren't a "grunge" band at all.

Now I am addicted to Candelbox which led to The Gracious Few.

Sidenote, Fosterchild did play with Candlebox back in 2008 in NYC.
Fosterchild used to be on the the record label that Candlebox is currently on.

you really think these songs are pop?

Aneurysm
Beeswax
Scentless Apprentice
Milk It
I Hate Myself And I Want To Die
Tourette's
Very Ape

and countless others...

About A Girl is probably the closest Nirvana ever got to Beatlesque pop. Ill give you that.
