Despite having a new arrival to the family, he found time to have a little online bitching session, though. So I hope Chad Gracey has realized that too.

By saying that the Face and Ghost, Nobody Knows and Get Ready are some of the best songs he has ever written, it seems to me that Ed is fan of the soft, acoustic, pop and mellow sound and I personally do not expect any Live new rock songs in the future. Live may reunite to tour but I do not see any recordings in the future horizon. Perhaps Ed always liked that melow and soft sound but he went with the flow of grunge and post-grunge sound of the early 1990s.

I am glad that this band is on break (possibly a permanent one) as I would not like my favorite band to make the crap that Ed likes. I am happy that I can enjoy MJ, TC, SS and TDTH and I hope that The Gracious Few won’t disappoint me.

I agree, but for a decent part this has already happen. For example SFBM. I liked a few songs off it, but some songs (like All I need, You are not Alone) I wished my favourite band wasn't associated with.
So when you realise that, the Ed solo thing is a positive thing. I would never like if Live would be related to the experimantal 'Dirty Water, Lotus Flower'. I do liked it, yes. But I'm glad it's not credited to the ROCKband Live.

Btw, to name a few other 'favorites' of Ed.
Runaway (he mentioned this sooo many times back than). The Distance. Call me a Fool.
yep, all soft, not so-rockish songs. I'm glad.
he brought the rock in the 90ies tho.
