Yup, but it does reveal the friendship there once was... in a way... and it was only 2 years ago yanno... I doubt that Chad or Ed are that kind of dirty bastards who will be playing friends in public and keeping dark thoughts on each other inside...

besides, if CT wanted, he coulda Ruby Lou drop-shot Ed off the stage during the tribal dance at the end of Lakini's Juice.

ok wait, maybe that's taking it a bit far. whistle.gif

I was at the 46664 concert in JHB in 2007. their vibe was still intact. The were amazing as a group. This hiatus thing was a complete shocker after watching them that night.

Wasn't there a thread recently linking to recent concert footage where CT and Pat were supposedly taking the piss out of Ed/ the music onstage? Guess it turns out they were...

That reminds me of the last show I saw. May 2009. They still got along just fine... Ed looked a little faggy in his scarf in May... in Texas... but they did the stomps together during Lakini's Juice.

Ed was all about twitter that night though! He talked it up and joked that Pat wasn't jumping on the train with this one but everyone else had. He then sang a version of White discussion that was all about twitter, I wish I would have recorded it. huh.gif

What does "taking the piss out of" mean?

Of course they're going to rip you Nick. You can't say anything negative or criticize anyone over there.

What does "taking the piss out of" mean?

"The term sometimes refers to a form of mockery in which the mocker exaggerates the other person's characteristics; pretending to take on his or her attitudes, etc., in order to make them look funny."

I just had a thought. This is entirely hypothetical, but I wonder if TGF will play any of the Live b-sides? I was just thinking of a possible scenario where maybe the 3 really wanted a song on an album (Don't Wait, Change) but Ed didn't. Obviously its a long shot but it would be pretty damn awesome!

I think it really is a long shot, at least for now. I get the distinct impression that The Gracious Few, if they ever actually get round to letting us hear anything they're doing rather than faffing about with petty sniping at their former band's frontman, will want to make a clean break from Live's material.

I really do not think TGF have a right to play any of the Live songs.
