The only Live song of recent that didn't grab me was Believe. I'm actually happy that song never made it onto an album.

I've always been more a fan of pop than rock music, so Ed's new song fits my liking very well.

Now don't get me wrong, I am not saying this song is bad per say, I am glad people are enjoying it as it seems like a solid pop song (or praise and worship tune lol.gif ). But, the song is simple and predictable.

For me, I enjoy a good simple pop tune every now and then (Black Lab, Butch Walker, etc.) but I don't enjoy this style of pop much at all.

I second that. Everlasting love sounds generic to me too.
Any average musician would be able to apply the basics and write a song as "good" as this one, or The River, or Zion...

I think it all has to do with the lack of involvement from the other guys, that is where the big drop off occurs and Ed starts writing garbage like Runaway and the River.

I still think V is pretty cool, can't remember how much the guys contributed if anything.
