QUOTE(Badman @ Sep 29 2009, 1:09 am) *

This board is really starting to disgust me, bomb.gif Live will get back together so stop acting like this is some kind of high school drama. No one feels "strange" listening to songs like overcome, like I do, or heaven. I love V and lots of members show support for the new stuff post SFBM like Forever and Zion.

If you guys want something to talk about, I heard that Taylor had an ingrown hair recently... is it brought on by deep seeded hatred of Ed? Find out next time on Speculations by people who have no lives!
Karma up.

QUOTE(pizan0 @ Sep 29 2009, 1:55 am) *

Its just weird to think that the whole band didn't have their hearts into some of the stuff post TDTH, that's all.

It is. Why do you keep thinking that way? And umm..how the fuck do you KNOW that?

pretty sure graceys was from his twitter, someone messaged him saying he looked bored in the clip and he responded by saying that he was. and the CT thing was on a blog back on friendsoflive somewhere, he talked about how he felt left out of the creative process when it came to V and how when he was on tour in New Zealand he felt really low and like he was losing his best friend (Ed) but apparently Ed's wife talked to him or something and explained to him that Ed "needed" to do this (write V on his own) and that it wasn't personal against any of the guys or something. But CT was then saying things were all better now, possibly around the BOP time, im not sure.

Right on, Eamon, I also remember CT was having issues with his wife back then. Maybe the two facts collocate?

I know! They should have chosen my entry! Anyway, it doesnt matter if it was horrible or not. No one outside the Live-community got to see it sad.gif

Yeah, I think it was around the 'Awake-era' or mid-2004 that Chad talked about that V-period. Man, I even remember him talking about how it would be if he just wasn't there anymore. no.gif

That's right, the whole "staring down out of my New Zealand hotel window" stuff was pretty depressing. Glad he's moved on to a better place!

Chad Taylor - TODAY:

On Monday, The Gracious Few fly to San Francisco to begin recording our debut album. I'm excited at many levels and feeling lucky to make music with Chad, Patrick, Sean and Kevin. Matt G, Karl Derfler and Jerry Harrision are back on board. We're filming the sessions too and will be posting "dailies" as we go. (I hope they keep their promise with that! rolleyes.gif )

Debut album. Sounds like a long term thing. I wonder what's going on in the Candlebox world?

Someone should log in in the Candlebox messageboard

I think TGF is really a side-project, at least for Martin and his guitarist.
Also, this is what wikipedia says about it:

QUOTE
Candlebox is currently on tour throughout the summer of 2009 and have begun writing their next album, slated for a 2010 release. Additionally, Kevin Martin is working on a new project with Chad Taylor, Pat Dalheimer, and Chad Gracey of the band Live, called The Gracious Few, who plan to release an album in Spring 2010.

I don't see Martin being involved more than two years, tbh. Especialy not as he is wriiting an album with his 'main band' in the meantime. That doesnt say - ofcourse - the Chads and Pat will be doing something non-Live related for more than 2 years.

Yeah, Candlebox seems to be Kevin Martin's main focus, whereas for the rest of the guys (save for the other Candlebox guy) The Gracious Few IS the main deal. This could cause tensions... or... maybe not. It's probably easier for a guy like Martin to balance two bands - due to Candlebox not really being huge.

Also, this is my 1000th post here at FansOfLive. Oh how time flies, eh?
