Check out Chad T's Twitter!!

QUOTE
@thegraciousfew are meeting today with legendary rock n roll hall of fame inductee, Jerry Harrison of Taking Heads/ Modern Lovers fame.

Could it be?! Jerry Harrison producing the debut album of The Gracious Few? It would soooo totally fit the whole thing, as they want to get back to the early Live style.

(just speculation ofcourse, but as they haven't announced a producer yet - Ed did - this could be very interesting)

Taylor has been known to jump the gun before. I'd take a wait and see attitude.

yes but i think TGF are walking the walk more if you know what i mean. I think they sought harrison out because they know as well as we do he was responsible for live's best work, and re-hiring him is their way of letting us know they are serious.

I also can't wait to hear some samples from TGF.
Within 2 weeks I will be seeing Ed in Amsterdam doing the HMH Metropole concert.
Let's wait if new music will be presented (He must do so, I think).

I also wished Live hired him before (I mean, how many times turned that name up in our topics about producers in the last few years ?!), but maybe the combo Ed-Jerry was the reason, as someone said. And maybe (maybe not), but maybe this give this bands debut a bit more attention. I guess at least more attention than when you chooose Jim Wirt?
But I wonder how much Jerry produced in the last decade. I remember reading somewhere he haven't produced anything public for years, but maybe I'm wrong.

Yeah, the good old early PA-guys feeling from Shit Towne is going to return!
- The 3 founding members
- Chad Taylor mentioning the word 'rock', 'rock'n'roll' or 'rocking' in like almost every Tweet tongue.gif
- now the return of Jerry Harrison.

- the only thing they have to do to revive the old Live is to start playing Public Affection songs on their upcoming tour eyebrow.gif nod.gif

Jerry Harrison, eh? Should sound decent then. I just hope that, whilst recapturing the classic sound, they don't sound too Harrison-era Live. They want their own sound, you know.

I would be really excited if it was a LIVE record, considering Harrison has collaborated on their best work in my opinion. But I wish TGF would be be going in a totaly new direction. This is now Live + Lives producer - ED. If the music is going to sound similar to the Harrison material of the past they should just call it Live with Kevin Martin.
