I sent an e-mail to the Sony Music Store last night about the possibility of a US release delay, and they completely circumvented my question. Instead, they just told me that the dual-disc is delayed indefinitely.

The River - The ladadada part drives me crazy every time. The rest of the song is catchy but too poppy for me.

Mystery - Still can't stand the chorus.

Get Ready - Sounds like a church song.

Show - Still my favorite song on the album. Probably the only truly GOOD song on this album.

Wings - Actually a decent song.

Sofia - Don't like it at all. Stupid song.

Loves Shines (blah blah blah) - Stupid and repetitive lyrics, but the song is ok.

Where Do We Go from Here? - Filter has a song by the same name. I recommend it.

Home - This song really bothers me (not just because it's a bad song). "I'm a soldier on the field fighting for you, fighting for me" - No you're not...you're a "rock star" making money off the people fighting for your ass.

All I Need - Pretty annoying.

You Are Not Alone - Sounds like Bring the People Together, which is one of my least favorite Live songs.

Night of Nights - Don't like the sudden tempo changes. Song doesn't flow, but it is somewhat catchy.



Overall I'm unsurprisingly unimpressed. The main question I have: What happened to Live being "loud"? That's all I can say without boring you (or maybe I did).

Also, thanks to the person who helped me get the album. I think almost everyone on this site takes for granted how easy it is to get this stuff only because there are a few cool people willing to help. I read these threads of people making their first posts ever, begging for the new album, and it pisses me off.

I'm interested to see what everyone else thinks so please post your thoughts on the album.

I only downloaded Mystery and I think it is amazing. Totally pumped me up and gave me chills. Much improved from the early demo and would make an awesome single.

I refuse to download the others until the album is released.....or until I can grab an overseas copy.

Eh? It doesn't blow BOP out of the water.

The River - I've never liked it since the first time I've heard it.

Mystery - Eh? Just not my type of song with his intolerable falsetto.

Get Ready - One of the better songs on the album.

Show - Probably my favorite. Sadly, only song that is somewhat rock.

Wings - Better than I thought, but still boring

Love Shines - too repetitive and annoying

Where do we go from Here? - It's alright, but nothing special

Home - BAD BAD BAD

All I Need - Decent, somewhat annoying

You are not Alone - Ouch 2nd worst song on album.

Nights of Night - Love the seductive verses, but can't stand the chorus.

It really is sad that I'm bashing my favorite band of a kid, but I don't like the album. I don't know, I expected more from a band whose been together more than half their lives. What happened to The Distance to Here's creativity? Or Mental Jewelry's edginess? Throwing Copper's rock and Secret Samadhi's bad ass tunes. Perhaps it will grow on me, but I doubt I will be listening to any of these songs very much. I'm going to listen to Led Zeppelin who knows how to rock.

I'm not trying to bring anybody down who likes this album, but I thought Live was the greatest band when I was 15, but now I don't know what to think. I still belive they were one of the greatest band in the 90's.
