I put in the web address and it seems the website is now just an online store for Live nerchandise. The message board and all other features seem to be gone. Anyone else getting this?

https://missinginkshop.com/live/store

You would think that there would have been a heads up?

The worst of it is that they are still selling new memberships! Live's management have handled this break-up poorly. There should have been a goodbye message on the website. We shouldn't have been forced to learn of our favorite band's demise via twitter.

Good riddance. It was a terrible site to begin with. A lackluster discography, a tour section anyone could come up with, not an impressive anything, and a whole bunch of terrible crap......and Jimmy Lang.

As several people stated before, I just can't believe Live leave their fans behind with... nothing. It's like someone you know dissapearing. He/she may be dead, but you just don't see the person anymore. And no one who can tell you if you'll see the person ever again. I mean, if we knew Live quited permanent at least we could burry them and look back to all the great things they've done. But now: we can't, as we don't know if they will return.

No explaination, no goodbye message, nothing. Only twitter users could see a link on one of the bandmembers twitter (Chad Taylors one) that had a explaination by Chad himself. I guess the casual Live fan or just 'once in a time lurker' doesnt have a clue what the hell is going on.

And to be honest... neither do I.

Who would have thought that FansofLive.com would have outlived SOY.....

I'm guessing thegraciousfew.com will have a message board. Those SOY regulars will need a new place to mingle.

It's sad going to friendsoflive.com. With no updates or changes in months it feels like the site died!

When I said this I wasn't implying that they actually kill the thing. This is not good news kids.

As a fan I'm actually pissed about the whole situation. I've put a lot of time and money, like many others, into following this band. Without their fans they would not have been a success.

I always say the band does not owe people anything but I do think they OWE us some type of official statement or explanation to what the hell is actually going on.

Where's Dangum? He always has the answer to any Live question!

If anyone gets the next Homespun newsletter (if it is published) I'd be interested to know what it says!

On the plus side, if this is a bitchfest between Ed and the band, perhaps there is a grudge rivalry between the two sides to put out the better album. If that is the case we could actually be in for two treats!

Word is that Chad, Chad, and Pat were practicing songs before shows. If that's the case then Ed knows his competition and could try to out rock it!

Well, I hope that both albums do rock, and I can't wait to see both EK and TGF. However, nothing will ever be as good as the original. Period. That said, Live and us fans made them a great living for 20 years, and probably made their grandchildren comfortable for years to come.

I will always love and follow Live, but as stated above, some official explanation is warranted.

Just my 2 cents.

Rock on rockin.gif

Sorry, I don't have the answer to this one...

By the way, the SOY message board is still up and running.

I don't think Homespun newsletters (paper or pdf) are published anymore. I haven't received one in a long time.

Yeah, good riddance! That was an embarrassment. I'd always cringe reading their news updates that were full of spelling errors and grammar mistakes. And the people that ran it were pricks. That one "photographer" that ran that site, don't care to remember his name, biggest psycho ever! omg.gif

My first "2 cents"

You guys have been my news source for Live over the past few months and I thank you whole heartedly.

I didn't realize they're are this many die-hards such as myself still remainning, I would've piped-up long ago.

To me, the way this "break" is being handled, man, I just can't help but feel as though they keep shooting themselves in the foot, over and over again and that thier website issue is yet another example.
This simply sucks, hopefully thier other ventures won't.
Peace.
