Anyone who has ever tried to name a band knows that all band names suck. Live itself is a really shitty band name. Know why? Marketing. If you search Live you don't get the band you get all kinds of other things. Like someone said before, its the music that makes the band name not the other way around.

It's not the most immediately catchy name, but I'm sure if they bust out a solid rock album and start working their grove then the name will just settle in and be accepted. It will be their identity and become a non-issue.

Although it's not a good marketing name in any aspect, the example you called (searching them on internet) wasnt't really important in 1991 when they chose that name. I think they wouldnt have chosen a name like that post-2000.

Ofcourse I dunno about what all the messages mean, and now this name. But IF, yes IF, Chad Taylor use it all to makes staements to Ed (as some assumed), I think this is, very, very unproffessional. We all don't know what's going on, or happened or whatever, but when you look at Ed, he doesn't seem to shoot at nobody. He seems to act much more proffessional. Then again: we don't know what (and if there's sometthing at all) going on.

The above is more than interesting to read. Are you aware that "slamming" can , and is, often done with a smile on your face? Just because CT speaks his mind doesn't mean he is two faced, infact quite the opposite. There are many ways to slam people..............all of them very hurtfull and sad.

I totally see what you're saying Sally, but wouldn't it make sense for Chad to not speak of Ed negatively at all in a public forum? The Gracious Few need fans of Ed to follow them, and knocking the guy isn't helping that cause.

I'm sure Ed is a handful to deal with behind the scenes, but publicy he hasn't taken any obvious shots at the rest of the guys. The three guys should have wished Ed well publicly, and slammed him in private. What they are doing now is counter-productive to building their fanbase.

Well .. not that im insinuating anything here by saying the situations are the same, but you can never fully judge the situation by what people state publicly. I look at The Smiths, theres a big Morrissey vs Joyce thing, even though Joyce too Moz to court and won he never says a bad word about him and does his best to come off as a real good guy, but you know for him to take someone to court there has got to be things he'd love to say, or at least does but not publicly. So by Joyce acting how he does you just know he's not being genuine in his praise.

So Ed remaining silent looks more professional but really tells us nothing. CT taking pot shots (if that's even what he's doing, we could come back to the whole people looking way too far into it), doesn't really tell us anything, maybe they're totally justified, maybe they aren't.

I'm just going to judge both sides on their music.
