There's been a lot of discussion over the comments by Chad Taylor the past few weeks. I would advise everyone to take what he says with a grain of salt. My impression is that he can be emotional in his comments without putting the thought or concern behind what he is saying. He seems to wear his heart on his sleeve, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Typically it makes for good message board fodder, but leads to numerous concerned fans.

That's why I'm paying attention and putting my stock with the words of Gracey. He seems to have it together and is informative about the new project. Here's his latest post:

"follow shortly! It's actually nice to have most of the summer off!! CT,PD and I will continue the ROCK for you all!"

I gotta agree, several of Chad T.'s posts have seemed to contradict each other (and his blog post). I do love his enthusiasm though!

I'm sure the last show was an emotional night for them, but it has been said many times that it wasn't the end.

I do too, but he has definitely contradicted himself over the status of the band break. That's all. His enthusiasm is awesome!

My thoughts:

1. Apparently Chad isn't aware everyone knows who the singer is

Its Kevin Martin, haha.

Obviously there are quite a few people who know Kevin is the lead singer, but in the grand scheme of things the number of people who read Gracey's tweets, this board, and the Candlebox board isn't really a HUGE number. I imagine they are planning a much bigger announcement with some form of press outlets and all, so it will still be a pretty huge announcement for the new band.

Can anyone explain to me why Chad mentions "NO MORE PLEXIGLASS?"

I understand that it means he won't be sitting behind it on stage anymore, but was that something that Ed always wanted or what? SORRY for needing someone to explain this to me.

When I was backstage at the last show I went to Chad's wife mentioned to mine that they had been trying to have kids with no luck.

I noticed he mentioned babies r us so I wonder if things finally worked out.
