I'd prefer anywhere to the hifi. Not really a venue for acoustic performances anyway.

See, I'm not convinced. Most people wouldn't have a clue who 'Ed Kowalczyk', 'EddieK', or 'The EK' are.

Even if he's marketed as 'The Former Lead Singer of Live', he might struggle. Although that would probably be the way to generate most interest.

yes i agree most people outside the live circle wouldnt know who he was.But i think in melbourne anyway there are heaps of us crazy people who would be there and would fill it!
Maybe the espy in St kilda???would be a good choice and at the Brighton Beach hotel. Ive seen DIESEL when he did an acoustic show and it was pretty special!

In the states, he's marketed as Eddie Kowalczyk of Live. Probably the main read Ed doesn't want a full break-up. Until he gets a single on the radio, few people will know who the heck he is.

Hello everybody! I'm writing this blog from Knoxville, headed to Nashville in a little while for my show there tonight. This has been an amazing past few weeks. The shows in Europe were fantastic! And to my own amazement I got through a mental block I've maintained for a while about writing music on the road, and actually did some...woohoo! I'm going into the studio in September to start recording; I can't wait. Stay tuned as I am planning some more art offerings here at EDDIEKLIVE.COM, along with more bootleg volumes, more shirts, the super-good luck EK pendant lol, and lots more. Probably, I know he's pretty serious about this. Wednesday night I overheard him directly questioning one of the crew members exactly how much "merch" was moved. I'd imagine he's dumping most of the money he's making on these solo shows into the production of his solo album. I wouldn't be surprised if this goes no label --> Itunes approach.

I think he'll need a distrubtor and will shop it around. Hopefully he fnds a major label to work with him. I have a lot of hope for his album.
