Radio huh? There goes the "song in development/not a real release" theory.

I have heard no confirmation of that the song is an official radio release. Either way, I think it would play well in Holland.

Since it wasn't released as an mp3 to us, I'd think the radio station would have to receive it from some official source (not an mp3 rip off a video).

Not saying its an album track or anything, just that some have defended the song on the basis of it being some Ed is working on.

It has been played. They probably just played the audio of the youtube video, but depending on the interview it seems Ed's management sent them the song. heynow.gif .

You can hear an interview with Ed about it as well. The song was made back in May already.

The more I listen to it, the more I start to love Ed's more agressive vocals (especially in the verses).

Ed stated very clearly in this interview, that this song is "Ed just having fun". And by that that mr. Kale made the music, Ed only laid his vocals on it (at least, that is what he said). So everyone can stop talking shit now about Ed don't know how to write good songs anymore, or whatever. Zion is an example of Ed's current songwriting. DWLF is only an example of Ed's current vocals. And his vocals sound cool.

Vocals and Lyrics, you can't tell me Ed didn't write the words to the song too, I mean it has the word Zion in it ... unless Ed is hunting down every other artist that uses the word zion in songs, asking if he can sing it for them.

I'm not sure I'd be the first to trust Ed with his recollection of dates.

"Overcome? Yeah, I just wrote that shit last week, brah!"

haha I can;t believe he said that! Not that I don't believe you, but is there a video?
But I remember other interviews in which Ed honestly said it was just a song on their new album, and that it had nothing to do with 9/11.
Btw, Ed on Letterman?! The only thing I ever saw was the band performing TDC over there. Never seen an interview in that show.

That was on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. And he didn't say he wrote it last week. I remember he said 'I was in a hotel room writing the lyrics'.. He was just answering a question from Leno and he answered in a way to tell a good story... the way everyone tells stories on those talk shows. If you lost respect for him from that, you're just looking for stuff to rip him apart.
