#1 Buying TDTH in 1999 and spending a night spinning it 8 times n a row crying like a baby.

I remember when SS came out I played it over, and over, and over, and over again so much so that the guy I worked with was about to throw my cd player out the window!! lol.gif

Favorite memories -

1st time seeing them in summer of '95. SUCH energy. They became my favorite band right then and there.

Hearing Lakini's Juice on the radio for the first time. I had to pull over.

Giving Ed my bracelet during a show .... twice.

Meeting the band for the first time and babbling to Ed about Nectar eyebrow.gif

Being pulled up on stage in Atlantic City during Dance With You

Good times with Patrick rockin.gif

All of the WONDERFUL friends I have made through the community thumbsup.gif

Probably when they were good.

DAMMIT! *beat me to it*

Probably seeing them for the first and only time, chickening out of grabbing Ed's outstretched hand and having Chad Taylor pull cheshire cat grins at me from Pat's side of the stage. Great gig.

Would you believe that I remember exactly what i was wearing the day Secret Samadhi came out? I worked at a clothing store, so I had to wear dressy clothes. So I was wearing a long skirt with flowers on it, and a sweater that matched. But underneath the sweater? Was a Straight Outta York Tshirt.

Its hard to pinpoint my favorite concert memory. But by far the most memorable venue was ON the beach in Virginia Beach. I had my shoes off, I was bearfoot in the sand. I was standing next to Heather for one of the first times and were right in front of Chad Taylor. If it hadn't have been for the barriade we'd have been hit with his mike stand that he accidentally kicked right at us. I still think that would have been one of the coolest injuries ever.

I remember standing ON the stage in Rockville, Md. I stood on the side and could look out in the sea of faces in the crowd. I remember feeling the floor I was standing on shake when Taylor stomped his feet. I remember right around the 10 year mark of my Live-fandom when I was at a show in Atlantic City and they played the song that made me love them (Selling the Drama) and it made me cry. I remember a time when Blue glowsticks were a message board trademark and Ed actually recognized a group of us that didn't belong up front were the biggest fans there...and he made the security let us back up there.

They were on YouTube at some point... don't know about now. Just checked my own files and I have the other SNL performance. Not the one you're after. Oops...

In no particular order:

- Ed being quite drunk and putting his arm around me, asking "What would you like to drink?" at an after party at a bar in Montreal. I answered "I'll have whatever." He said "Swami, I'm gonna have a red-headed slut!" I said I'd have one too.....he bought me a shot of Jack Daniels.

- Flagging Ed out of a moving limo with the cover for TDOAD right after he finished being interviewed for The Story of Live.

- COLLECTOR JARGON WARNING!!!: After recently obtaining RARD-10346 and RARDS-54236, racing to the counter at AVE to throw down my $11 for RAXTD 20, thinking I was the shit, before my friend picked up RAXXD 20 right after me....I hadn't seen it.

There are more.....

Some of my memories.....

- First time I saw them at Stabler Arena in 1994 - my first concert
- The road trip of 1997 (Hershey,Toronto, Darien Lake, Pittsburgh, etc)
- Chatting on AOL with PD for a few years from time to time, where have you gone USER150880?
- Hanging backstage at a few of the shows thanks to PD
- The mass email campaign to play the new stuff from V. Think we pissed off a few radio stations in the US smile.gif
- Waiting in line at midnight for the release of Secret Samadhi

Despite all the great memories I'm excited for the new stuff from CT, CG, PD

Some memories:

-Hearing Selling the Drama on the radio and immediately having to buy the album. Then realizing that my Mom wouldn't let me because it had a song named Shit Town. Thank goodness for older brothers (yeah I was a young'n).

-Not a specific memory, but the excitement of getting unreleased tracks on the internet and discovering some of Live's best material thanks to all the great websites over the years.

-Taping MTV Unplugged and watching it again and again (and I still have it... somewhere).

-Being one of the few posters on the old Illout forum defending V.

-Seeing Live during their Secret Samadhi tour, definitely the best show I saw them put on.

-A not so favorite memory, but definitely one of my strongest memories. Only hearing Like I Do before BoP came out and being really excited about the album, then getting it and being extremely disappointed.

Unless someone gets there before me, I'll put them up later today (it's coming up for 8am for me) after I get back from work.

I have a lot of fond memories of my favorite band. From the day I found the cassette tape of Mental Jewelry back in 93 all the way up to being at their "final" show in Westbury and hanging with the guys backstage after.

But I have to say my favorite memory was seeing the show they did at the Union County Music Fest in NJ. It being a free show was pretty alright by me.... but that isn't what makes it my favorite LIVE memory.

What does is:

~I absolutely loved the set list.

~The boys looked like they were having such a good time performing and I swear I have never seen a person as happy as Ed looked that night. He had a smile a mile long and looked as if he was just lovin life at that moment.

~The crowd was awesome... I met a lot of cool ppl.

But I am grateful for all the many many memories I have from this band and all the awesome music and inspiration they brought to my life.
