holy crap.. tonite's tweets from CT --WTF?

"Beware "Thegodman" who will tell you anything to take $$ from your pockets. He has sold lies & fear & borrowed his best prose.....he is a fake and a cheater with no music to back him. The song is over your pill has turned bitter. I'm sorry you're a sell out to those...with real faith. So sorry your ride is over."

given EK's tweets recently -- substitute "EK" for "Thegodman" -- and it seems to make some sense.. i'm left here wondering whatever happened to Chad's statement on his blog...

"Ed has been one of my closest friends since kindergarten and I will not tolerate abusive posts aimed at him"

who here thinks chad is talking about ed?

I don't know that we would ever know short of asking Chad himself. 'Til then there's no need to assume that all of those awful things are about Ed. Though they could be about him, its still just speculation.

Twitter, Facebook, and the like are the worst things to happen to Live. 10 years ago, you stood a slim chance of getting in touch with the band. Believe it or not, but I LIKED THIS!!! It made the interaction important and worth something. In 1997, if you didn't like Century, you had to blindly write to the fanclub or be lucky enough to meet them in person and voice up. These days, if you don't like Night of Nights, you simply press your finger to your iPod and thumb-off a quick "tweet" (aka: a lazy person's sentence) which carries sweet fuckall in terms of a responce.

In a way, it's great, because we no longer have to rely on fan-based websites to deliver the latest news. BUT...at the same time, the news can be presented in such a personal manner for the band members involved that you either have to take them as themselves or as a group. And, often, the two are mutually exclusive. In a way, I lament the days where the secrecy and the anxiety that went hand in hand with being a Live fan meant that you didn't know that you'd hear a new song in a month. There was a sense of day-to-day fandom and curiosity. These days, it's given to you within moments of Chad's or Ed's or Pat's thinking of it. It's a bit TOO quick. I like a surprise every once in awhile. I can't say I'm a huge fan of the band members "tweeting" every 4 hours of their lives about what's to come.

Honestly....it's too much to be concerned with. They delivered their 4 best albums with us knowing next to NOTHING for months, even years on end. And the results were always favourable. Now, we've got 27 side projects and 14 emotions per hours flooding our RSSs.

It.....kinda sucks. A lot.

the way he writes "Thegodman" all together with no spaces seems really specific, like its a user or someone on a website or something

http://www.indianexpress.com/news/Godman-J...de-money/494351

think this story just broke yesterday.. i'm going with this is what he is talking about it..

when i first searched the web yesterday after seeing tweets, the top posts were wikis, definitions (many use the term godman to describe jesus), and the onehope.net site.. none of em made sense to me..

but if you google news the word godman, this is the first story to come up.

Godman Jadeja ‘admits’ he has no mystical powers, many made money

Express news service Posted online: Monday , Jul 27, 2009

Ahmedabad : Ashok Jadeja, the self-styled godman who has allegedly cheated scores of people across the country, is believed to have admitted that he has no mystical powers. “Many people also benefited by my scheme. A constable in Jaipur earned Rs 3 crore while Sudhir Tamaichi, a bootlegger of Naroda Patiya, earned Rs 30-35 lakh,” Jadeja reportedly said in his three-day narco test in Gandhinagar.
According to police sources, Jadeja claimed he had earned only Rs 20 crore as his personal profit while many others earned more than him.

A senior police officer said, “First of all, he admitted he had no mystical powers. He used to sit at the Shikoter Mataji temple near his home. Some devotees used to come and touch his feet — that’s something which gave him the idea to cheat people. He floated a Rs 200 multi-member scheme and started getting huge profits instantly.

That's what I came here to post, maybe Chad really doesn't like this thing? I really doubt it's anything to do with Ed.
