At the end of next video, you can see Ed(die K) asking Chris Daughtry to explain how what he is doing and has done, influenced the Daughtry music.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyvqSnFHPAM

I think it's kinda interesting, as Daughtry can be considered as the first real band that seems to be inspired by Live (especially Throwing Copper), and I'm really curious if there will be more bands coming in the future that will name Live as their influence. It's like 15 years after TC now, so that seems a normal time to be named as an influence.

btw, offtopic, I'm not really impressed with their new single No Surprise. Very, very Nickelback-ish if u ask me. There are a few nice songs on their new album though!

haha I know if I were Ed or the like and I'd inspired someone (even as dull as Daughtry) I'd be curious to know what songs and such inspired them most ... but actually putting something like that to air, theres no way it can't come off bad ... its like "Hey Daughtry, tell me why you think we're so great again, I'd like to hear about that".

Matchbox Twenty and Breaking Benjamin also count Live as their influences. I'm sure there are others.

Apparently Creed do too ... why can't Live inspire any good bands?

I actually like Matchbox Twenty's first CD quite a bit. You can hear the Live influence in it.

Cool interview piece, although I thought Chris struggled for power a bit during the chorus of the song performance? But yeah, it's cool to know he digs TC.

They do? That's cool. Although I don't know their music, it's cool other bands name Live as well as inspiring. But they will have named other bands along with Live, right? But I think Daughtry is the only one (especially their singer Chris) that makes it a big deal. Ofcourse I realise it's undeniable after the whole Idol thing.

Matchbox 20 and Breaking Benjamin were listed as influenced by Ed on his Wiki page, but there have never been any references for it. I'd like to see some, personally.
