this discussion completely perplexes me. shrug.gif i am not dissing the choice of singer, i'm not judging as to WHY he said it, and i'm not saying that he did it intentionally.. what i said was that it was SHITTY and self centered. And i for one would have been disappointed if news i was excited about sharing got out this way.

i dont think he was THINKING- he should have been - it wasnt JUST HIS NEWS to share -- they should have done it TOGETHER.

i for one am surprised to see it leak out this way- CT & CG have been teasing us for weeks w/this news. i am disappointed for my guys

I think saying it was self-centered is a rash judgment, you don't know why he said it and neither do I. Since we have no idea I just think it is proper to assume he wasn't being self-centered. Obviously we disagree on that, which is fine, but please don't act like I am making things up. I understand your point of view as a fan of Live and wanting the best for the boys, but just because this disappoints you doesn't necessarily mean it disappoints them.

There, hopefully we understand each other a little better. I am a huge fan of both bands (one of the few on here) so I am extremely excited about this pairing.

I do agree that if he wasn't supposed to discuss this then it was a mistake, however the video is back up so I'm guessing it wasn't that big of a deal after all.

I thought Kevin Martin sounded great on the last Candlebox album. There were some great songs on there. This should be fun.

Sounds great to me, after all Throwing Copper had more cursing than any Candlebox album.

Throwing Copper had well placed cursing. I feel Kevin Martin of Candlebox throws cursing into songs just because he thinks it sounds cool. I find it totally ignorant.

About the interview, was he supposed to say "I've got nothing going on"? Kevin was asked a question and he answered it. Thanks for being straight forward. Wish Live would do the same.

Not a huge fan of his voice. I wish the guys would pull a Santana and have a guest vocalist on every track and then maybe do a tour with this guy singing all of the songs. That would be cool!
