I find it interesting that Adam protects his updates, but Ed and Chad don't. Maybe we'll get more personal stuff? Who knows.

Anyway, I requested to be his friend. I'll post his updates when I can.

For a non-believer like me, it reaaaaaally taints Ed, not to mention the music itself... when he talks about stuff like this. He better not reveal any more of my favourite songs to actually be about God. Apparently he told Badman that he tries to keep his music open to everyone... well this isn't helping! Seriously, this is just plain horrible. I just want to say FUCK OFF WITH THE GOD SHIT.... but I suppose that's not being very tolerant, is it...

*sigh* sad.gif

as much as i freaked out initially about eds in your face christianity i guess its not such a bad thing. TDTH was full of words like god and soul and lord, and themes like heaven and spirituality ("I was wrong, we are not these bodies alone"), so as long as he can write some interesting songs then who cares what its about. Take me up to zion is a great little number, so here's hoping we get more of it.

lol wasn't the dolphins cry about having sex on the beach? I think he's probably finding new meanings in his own songs and changing them, maybe making them more family friendly. More so than the god talk, its the "philosophical" talk that gets me, that shits ok for songs/poems, but half the time I get the feeling Ed doesn't even know what he's saying and just thinks it sounds good/profound.

Ed is talented in that he can take an idea and express it really well, through both words and emotions. I was just listening to Century in the car, and man it is a brilliant brilliant song. But, while he can express his ideas well, he doesn't really have great ideas.

Perhaps thats why Live have been so great with their cover songs? I still think a Live cover album would be the way to go if they were to try and win back some popularity .. all they need to do is choose the right songs and they'd make a winner .. ive loved every cover they've done more so than the original song, which is rare for a band, some of the covers they've changed enough to really make them their own, eg walk the line.

Chad's been busy tweeting this morning:

"Dreamers" attract "Dreamers" who believe that all things can become real with proper attention. We seek each other out! Be one too!

My mother used to tell me, "it never hurts to ask" - how else do you think we got Ernest Borgnine or Doris Roberts or Marcia Gay Harden?

zmanpga@thechadtaylor we want to book your band! --- ALL IN TIME. Horse before the carriage. Gotta start with great music.

Are you going after you dreams like me? I know you can!! Lets go!

We are looking at either the Toronto Film Festival or Rhode Island Film Festival to make our premiere.

We will have the finished master for Another Harvest Moon on Friday! Our company really came through...there is a ton of early buzz!

I listened to the raw demos in my car last PM. Any fan of hard hitting rock music will love these tracks. We are going all out!

All the chatter is exciting but I'm keeping my feet on the ground. Totally focused on making the absolute best album possible. Music first

Sounds to me this is truly the end for Live. I can't see them getting back together after you have another singer come in and sing some of your songs. To deny they are "broken up" is just downright ignorant. Pool the fanboy wool off your eyes and see the truth. They MIGHT get back together someday, but they are torn apart for now. There is some rift between Ed and the rest of the band. This is undeniable.

How do you feel about that users of Straight Out of York?

hmmm
what about an idea of CT, PD and CG working on making an album with all different singers. " "& I've been waiting so long to sing my song" could point to the singer of Candlebox doing one song with them together. Maybe they're making an album with on each track another singer (or maybe no singing at all).
It would also give the feeling that they aren't continueing LIVE with another singer, but just a side project with other music.
Their 'great teacher' Harrison did this as well with his band the Talking Heads, right? Recording a full album under the name 'The Heads' (instead of Talking Heads), with on each track another singer. Ed contributed as a singer to the song 'Indie Hair'. Maybe the three are influenced by Jerry Harrison.
