QUOTE(+Ed+ @ Jun 25 2009, 6:30 pm) *

I somehow think that we will receive an EddieK solo album with th eband backing him up. it will be simply called a SOLO recording. And that is it.

If it all goes well, i am all for it. I will support the band with any decision they make. they are simply sometimes much more to me that my closest friends are.

with u on that one!!!!I went through a bad patch in 1994 and what pulled me through was
Live !!!! Whenever my bf goes on about me and my craziness for live i say "I've known them longer than u" !!!!!!!

He just doesnt get it sometimes but i did convert him after cing Paradiso DVD and some of Kinders older stuff

Turns out I was on the money. A real sad day in Live land.

You were absolutely right! Except about the whole Live breaking up thing, going on hiatus is different to breaking up.

And as others have said, in some ways I kinda welcome this. I'd prefer them to honestly all be in the right headspace before making another album. Having them put out one now could actually be dangerous to the bands future, if tempers are flaring or if they're unhappy with the finished product that could all be bad. better they all take their time to do their own thing, wait till their kids get a bit older and all of that jazz and come back with some material that will really kick ass.

I don't think the band will back Ed up on his solo record, because Taylor seems most interested in doing non-music stuff. I reckon he wants to take on some more movie stuffs which will consume him pretty much. Ed seemed fine to do his shows and Live... so, if anything, I'd say it's mostly Taylor that wanted this, follwed closely by Ed who will benefit from the break.

Gracey will do his off road business stuff, I guess. But what in the heck will Pat do? I reckon he wasn't fussed, to be honest. Didn't exactly want the break, but will enjoy the time off. lol.gif What will he do?

Nah, not really that, Eamon. I do not think they really have to rest before pulling a good album, together. Then again, maybe I am a strange fan, chewing on absolutely anything they offer, that being said, not counting myself a fan-boy.

But on ething actually interests me. What is BELIEVE? It for sure will not be on Ed's solo recording, as they performed it full-band. On the other hand, they never played TMOUTZ, which was performed acoustically. Ooo, the mysteries are back again... What shall we expect... Ooo... Ooo...

I really think the lead singer of Candlebox working with members of Live would be interesting to say the least. It is also very possible. In NH, Chad and Pat were watching Candlebox's set from the audience. Throughout their entire 2 year long tour with Collective Soul, I don't believe they ever bothered to check out CS's set. Also, isn't Chad supposedly working on music with Candlebox. Plus Chad keeps tweeting about his next band....

It would allow the guys from Live to contribute to the creation of music with a different lead vocalist. I bet it could happen.

So Ed goes solo, the rest work with a new singer in a new band? Hmmmmm.............

............ gut feeling, I don't like it. Mostly because people with jump on Ed and flame him and act like the rest of the guys are saints who were surpressed by him etc etc.

ohw it will be definately be music-related stuff the others will do, especially Pat and Gracey. But Taylor said it himself too, that they as a trio work on new music and will launch a website for it soon (or was that a remark to tease Ed, because he has his own website too? tongue.gif ).

No but seriously, maybe they will really work on a new band. Not a band to replace Live, but just doing some different things. And in that, another singer would fit. Doesn;t mean they can't return to their good old band LIVE after two years. A new band can be just that side-project.

I wouldn't be against them covering a Live/Candlebox song or two. But it'd have to be an entirely different band.

Live may be the new Creed. tongue.gif

yeah, I'm wondering bout that too +Ed+. What the hell does the song 'Believe' mean? When did they work on that? And why did Ed say the upcoming album will be very 'Forever-ish' and 'Purifier-ish', very recently? Seems like it's not Ed's decicion to not produce another LIVE album. Also, something must have changed their minds in a week time or something. Weird.
Ohw, and last: Take me Up to Zion. I expected that to be a solo song. But If you read Brett's review of the most recent Ed solo show (june 23) in the on the road section, I don't know what to think anymore:

QUOTE(brett @ Jun 24 2009, 12:13 pm) *

I especially liked 'Take Me Up To Zion' and told him so after the show. Said it was great to know and was looking forward to working on adding the band to it.

Words on the new album could be very true anyway. He did not say when the album was going to be released, right?

Speaking of Brett's review, there is also no reason for him to mean adding LIVE BAND to the track.
