The first time is saw them, in Leuven (Belgium) 2004, during the Awake tour, Ed introduced the band at the end of the show during... I think W,D (but maybe it was DWY). Back than I thought it was usual, so I was surprised to never see that again. But I guess now it's not as usual as I thought?

I think Ed did it at Starland in 2007, but that was more to announce the upcoming summer tour.

I'm surprised the band has removed Walk the Line from the setlist....it always received a killer reaction from the crowd.

WHAT A GREAT SHOW!!! As I said previously this was the first Live concert (or any rock concert) my wife and I have ever gone to and we had a blast! It was far better than anything I could have imagined! I loved that they played a lot of the older stuff. Ed really seemed to get into the show about half-way through, though the rest of the band just didn't seem to be that into it though I agree Taylor's headset seemed to be giving him fits.

We left with ringing ears and a bag full of Live merchandise we purchased before the show. Can't wait for the next one! Wish they were going to be playing in So.Cal. again soon sad.gif

yeah i noticed that too earlier this year
I guess they just played it a lill too much (for a cover) last few years, it has been non-stop in every setlist since 2005.
It will return nod.gif

I didn't see anybody post about the Vegas show yet...it was a great show. Kind of a weird set up, around the pool, with a stage in one far corner. There was a VIP area directly in front of the stage, which was nice for those on the guest list or with "VIP" tickets (roughly $30 more). Everybody else was forced to watch from across the pool, about 40-50' back. A few people were having none of this, so they actually got into the pool to get closer.

The show itself was good, Ed and the band seemed a little constrained by a VERY small stage but the crowd eventually got into it. They opened with "I Alone," which caught just about everyone off guard. There was no Purifier, though they played Forever. They ended with "White, Discussion." There were a bunch of eye rolls when Ed started doing some very weird things with his scarf. At one point he tried to make it look like he was wearing a burka. It was just very odd. Otherwise, he put on a great show and really seemed quite relaxed.

Can't remember specific set list, but if anybody has any questions, I'm more than happy to answer.

The aftershow itself was kind of intense. There were so many people "invited" by having "VIP" tickets (as mentioned earlier, only $30 more each) that it was more just like a club with the band in it. Ed came in and was bombarded by requests for pictures, autographs, etc. Chad Taylor, Patrick and Adam were around. I didn't see CG, though.

Let me know if you have any questions!

When I saw them in Reading, PA three years ago Ed introduced all the members of the band, but last summer in Columbus, OH it didn't happen. It may be rare, not sure but the times I've seen it has been during DWY.

Sorry for the double post - CT shaved his head EDDIE STYLE??? - New look for him - but in the main those vids were un-impressive, i understand it might not be a great venue but ED should NEVER forget the power His music and Lyrics have and that HE ALONE can shape and change a show make it special or average and LIVE fans pay to see the best of Ed - not just him casually roaming through old-hits like they don't matter to the fans...sorry if thats harsh.

Not a new look. He shaved his head numerous times. Not to say that now it is not shaved and has a small mohawk I figure
