WTF is right. As much as some of you don't realize it, Ed is singing mostly about God and his love for Jesus.

He has said from the start that he did not want them marketed and seen as a Christian rock band. He knew this would only hurt their worldwide appeal and cater to a smaller group of listeners and record buyers. He has kept his messages very cryptic and thus fooled many of his listeners.

I just wish Ed didn't keep selling out and came out with the fact he, on the whole, sings about Jesus and faith.

you do realize that in many interviews ed has said that "i alone" was about you needing to find faith on your own and not listen to pastors, preachers or others. it was a middle finger to organized religion.

in many shows from the tdth era, he introduced they stood up for love by saying how the song was about anybody who stood up for love, and specifically referenced the buddah, jesus and martin luther king. most born again christians i know wouldn't dare put the buddah in the same sentence with jesus.

also you do realize that you can take just about every love song that anybody writes and turn that into an homage to a mythical jew named jesus?
