Anyone know if Live ever plans to put some of thier songs out for either of these video game franchises? It would be great plus they would get more exposure and extra $.

I would think it's not Live holding back. The franchises have to express an interest in them.

Trust me, both franchises would be interested in Throwing Copper. That album was a huge success and a good part of the games(Rock Band, Guitar Hero) fanbase knows the album.

I asked Michelle at FOL and she said the band had never been contacted regarding any of their music. She asked the bands manager and this is where she got her info from.

That sucks, but you never know for the future though, hopefully the Throwing Copper Reissue helps this issue along.

I love Live but I have a hard time seeing many of their songs being more difficult than the "easy" mode.

+1. That's exactly what I thought.
Appart from "Stage" maybe... not that it's a difficult song to play on guitar, but the tempo is fast and you have a great little solo smile.gif
And maybe "Heropsychodreamer" too.

A few that might be interesting...

-Bass on Pain Lies on the Riverside, OK?, and any other slap bass song.
-Drums on Stage, Iris, and White, Discussion
-Guitar on Graze and maybe Deep Enough for the solos, although the Deep Enough solo would need to be bumped up and not hidden behind keyboard noises. bomb.gif

Vocals would be fun on a lot of them though, I think. So maybe Rock Band will approach them at some point, but I doubt the more guitar based Guitar Hero would.

Tracks like Rattkesnake and Lakini's juice would be awesome on Rockband!

Half the shit on rockband isn't very difficult so you really have no point.

Vocals would be the most challenging for these songs.

The bass on stage would be hardest, despite what many people think. Both Stage and PLOTR would be excellent in this regard.

White Discussion would be half decent all the way around.

Anyone who has played these games knows that the good 90's music.....Pearl Jam, REM, Smashing pumkins, STP...etc....none of it is very hard to play in this game. The whole TEN album is surprisingly easy to play on all instruments.

Whoa there buddy. I don't even play these games, I was just saying that Live's music isn't all that complex on real instruments is all. Not trying to "make a point."

Personally I think games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero are mind numbing compared to playing the real instruments. THERE is a point. bounce.gif

No, there isn't, "buddy"

Most of the music in this game is no more "complex" on real instruments. Go home.

Do you get a kick out of being ass to people on message boards or something? I don't know what I did to piss you off but jeez, let it go.

Playing any solo on a real guitar is a good deal harder than on Rock Band or Guitar Hero.
