The Stanley Cup Finals are now set. A rematch of last year. Game 1 is on Saturday.

Go Wings!

There's a team called the Penguins? And they made the final? ... That's almost as bad as the Rugby leauge here having a team called the Roosters. I'm gonna have to go for the Penguins out of pure sympathy.

It doesn't make any sense (except for TV ratings) that the first two games of the finals are being played on back to back days (Satruday and Sunday) when there hasn't been a series all playoffs that has done this.

It's either a play by the NHL to get Crosby a Cup because the Wings are injured right now and older, or it's Betman's stamp as being the worst commisioner in North America.

Since hockey is on ice there is a connection. I don't get the Roosters and rugby.

Oh yeah I get the connection, but it doesn't make it any less lame.

as for the Roosters ... absolutely no idea what the connection is, but rugby sucks so it doesnt matter smile.gif

Maybe because all the players are cocks?

Anyway, back on topic. I don't understand how people can watch ice hockey live. I struggle to keep track of the puck when I'm watching it on TV. heh.

thats the thing I reckon I could really get into hockey if I was exposed enough to it, more so than most other US/Canadian sports like basketball/gridiron/baseball .. but the puck is just too hard to follow sad.gif

Red Wings lead series 3-2. Just finished raping the Penguins 5-0 a few minutes ago.

What a bunch of cheap shot bitches. Malkin is the biggest one!

I bet a moderate amount on the Red Wings for the series, and it looks good. I bet on 5 of their players to win the Conn Smythe trophy and when one of them wins (which will happen if Detroit wins series) I am set to make a good amount. I also bet a fuckload on Detroit in Game 5, and as only Hoodie can describe, it was a bonafide raping. A real beatdown. I pretty much dislike Detroit sports having recently spent 4 years in Cleveland, but damn, the Wings are paying my rent this month. banana.gif banana.gif banana.gif

The Wings have also won 3 of their last 4 cups in game 6 on the road. Just a trend I wanted to point out.

I figured all it would take would be Hoodie's endorsement and the Wings would go to shit. Detroit blows. Thank God I am making a ton on the Lakers raping the Magic, because the Detroit Red Wings are fucking worthless losers.

Still in shock. They had the series wraped up and the blew it to an inferior team.

The great thing is that there's comfort in the fact that they'll be right back in the hunt next year!
