QUOTE(SJN1279 @ May 21 2009, 10:08 am) *

I feel you need a balance of rock songs and ballads. Turn My Head, Dance With You, and Overcome rank high in Live's catalog, so a new song in that vain is not a bad thing at all.

yeah, but what I feel is, that the boundary between those two types of songs you mentioned, faded in Live's songs on recent albums. Especially on SFBM. So again: they need to compensate now for what was lacking in previous years!

And about the balance thing:

Lakini's Juice
Turn My Head
on the same record

that's a totally different balance nod.gif
I wouldn't have a problem with such type of balance

EDIT:
Now I think about it, I think Ed's Twitter post reffered to his solo album, so it's all ok

Ed's been busy tonight!

"thanks!"Although a journey is perceived differently by each who takes it, few can bare the solitude of self exploration” Rex Tenebrarum"

and

"I would add to Rex's poem, that no one could bare actual solitude. The Self is ever Alone but being All is never lonely."

I don't like this Twitter-ized Ed. Something about hearing the guy who wrote Lakini's Juice or any number of other great songs use the phrase "LOL" and entirely too many emoticons takes most of the allure away.

Ed posted a Tweet to his blog about his workout, food and meditation stuff. Here's the meat:

I'm doing this blog at the request of Johnny Mukiwa on Twitter. Johnny mentioned in a tweet that he had noticed a major change in my body and that he wanted more info on my exercise and diet regimen. I have to say that the revolution that is visibly noticeable in my physique has happened in tandem with a similar change in my mental and spiritual being. Having discovered a source of Strength in myself through inner awakenings in meditation and prayer, my physical body has become more disciplined and much stronger. I also hardly ever get sick and when I do it's minor. So, what do I do everyday? Well, first off, I try to recognize from moment to moment that I am actually not a body, nor am I contained within a body. Sound strange? Of course it does. People have been calling us by a name and pointing to this hunk of flesh associated with it since before we can remember. But is it true? Not completely true, unless you think that every spiritual tradition ever known to mankind is essentially false. Well, you know where I stand on that one. wink.gif This is a point of departure whenever you get to talking about spiritual things, you really just have to try meditation and see. I personally just rest in what IS (God) for a 30 minute period in the morning, then for shorter periods throughout the day.

That kind of spiritual practice manifests for me as a desire to eat a low carb, high protein diet and to work out lifting weights and doing cardio at least 3 times a week. I have also been spontaneously led to a variety of very healthy and potent dietary supplements which include American Ginseng, Acai and more recently, 250mg of Resveratrol daily.

In essence, I believe in an integral approach to health. Health of Body, Mind and Spirit. I don't see much use in a nice physique without the complimentary enlightened smile of a vital mind and spirit. Point is, work out and play with all of the aspects of yourself and find a true and integral happiness.

God Bless
ek

Is there a thread called "Chad Taylor now on Twitter"? I couldn't find one. I thought his two posts this morning were awesome, I had to post:

"Ready to play some loud music but no band to plug into (my band on break). This is why I started producing in the first place..frustrated"

and

"Gonna stay POSITIVE! I'm going to be open and willing and IT will come, after all IT is always IS if I'm aware..music by the end of the day"

Chad Taylor posted again:

"Wrote in the AM. Felt awesome. To be upfront I left music fall by the side for a few. I'm back in the drivers seat with a ton of passion."
