QUOTE(Merica @ May 14 2009, 12:37 pm) *

In contrast, I'm not sure I like it... I mean, it's cool that he's more in touch than ever before but it seems like the guy we're seeing really is miles apart from the cool mysterious bloke that wrote Throwing Copper etc. It's not bad per se, but just... I don't know.

You see I'd rather see him being more personable and outreaching to fans and then going and writing the mysterious/dark lyrics even if it seems like a contrast then him with any personality at all and then writing more SFBM stuff hehe.gif

I've been critical of Live's approach in recent years, but this and the resurrection of Chad T.'s Twitter have really made me appreciate them again. Connecting with fans personally is the way to do music nowadays.

If you want a more depressing musician to connect with personally you should just check out Matthew Good's blog at http://www.matthewgood.org. He is great but damn if he ain't a pessimist.

I say god damn.

Several years. as a fan, I really wanted to have more information..no... as MUCH as possible actually first-hand information not from a RELIABLE source, but from the band directly. Taking the idiotic situation in my country concerning the approach to the music that is loved by several people, inet is the only way out to get the stuff we actually long to and need. And right now, with Ed's solo site and Twitter and etc etc I personally am very happy, fullfilling the gaps that are left from recent years of the lack of it.

I am glad.

Blessed and swamped!

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

Greetings to everyone. Thanks for coming over and hanging out in my new online digs. There's a comfy couch over there in the corner and some 'spresso brewin' in the maker, want some? lol. Also, there's this bald-headed guy who likes to sing and play guitar who gets to makin' quite a racket round here sometimes.
Nah, but seriously, I'm really having a blast with all this and appreciate ya being here. I've hurled myself into the songwriting process big time. My circuits are buzzin' with incoming melodical-lyrical messages from the great beyond (or from deep within the kosmos of these double mochas i can't stop drinking). When it's flowing like this I really feel like a little conduit more than some big boss man in the process. Its quite exciting!

We've put up a new Bootleg series, VOLUME 2 from Maxwell's. Now, for those of you who were there ya know how off THE CHAIN it was. I was so inundated with love-vibes and 100 plus decibel sing-along that I will surely not forget that show soon. And good news, you Hoboken-ites of the EK, we recorded it so everyone all over the world can experience your passion!

I'm really excited about all of the shows coming in June, LIVE and EK. Can't wait to get to europe and see all my friends there. And not to worry rest of the world, I'll get to ya and until then we'll record everything and make bootlegs....

Go ahead and hang out for awhile, kick your feet up, relax! smile.gif
ek

PS: I'm having far too much fun on Twitter! come and allow me to barrage you with 140 characters or less what-not's and love messages... smile.gif www.twitter.com/eddieklive

Fuck I wish he played Supernatural when those guys were all yelling for it before Sofia, but instead he plays that and all you hear are women screaming *sigh*

His voice for the most part is better on this recording, but he still pushes it too hard. But a much better version of Turn my head and Nobody Knows than the first bootleg.

Well I hope Ed goes back and makes these live versions (Hoboken & Philadelphia) available after the track is released on a studio album. It bugs me listening to incomplete concerts...
