Sometimes I am wondering what some people here expect from Live’s sound. Believe sounds fantastic, it is a hard-rocker, which combines riffs from the TC and SS era and sound from TDTH and BoP eras. To me, it sounds like Live is back. I really forward to listening to the next album.

yeah, if I hope it will be hard rock as well on the new album.
If they can manage to put this on record like they did on stage these three times, I consider Live being back!! rockin.gif
(not that they were really gone for me, but still laugh.gif )

Thanks for the video! Good stuff. You were true to your word thumbsup.gif
Can't wait to hear your full review.

Alright, I'll try to explain what happened.

Ed came out... looking pretty gay, not gunna lie. opens with purifier. songs of note include:

Purifier
Gas Hed
Blowin in the wind solo
forever
Believe
selling the drama
The Distance
all over you
turn my head
sophia
Top
run to the water
lightning crashes
I alone
lakinis juice
hold me up
white discussion
dance with you

if there is anything else, I'll add it later. not in the right order except last two and first song.

He changed white discussion lol!! He was like... back in my day... a cell phone was like a car battery attached to a speaker... and a lot has changed since 1991... but there's only one important thing that has changed... do you know what it is? Twitter! Twitter is amazing and you should all check out my twitter at eddieklive... it lets me talk straight to YOU without the fucking media getting in the way of my words. now... lets do this. YYEEEAAAHH Look where all this talkin' got us baby... (lol)

Alright, I asked about Fly and his work with daughtry. He said that Fly is not the only thing out there, they recorded a lot together. It is on both of their computers at home. So we may see it in the future!

I'll explain the christian thing on that thread, for now I gotta bolt. Work is calling.

EDIT: Added Top and The Distance to that setlist

lol that's fucking hilarious, the "without the media getting in my way" .. like somehow contraversy and media storms follow him wherever he goes and his words are always totally mistrued, on the cover of all the new idea magazines right next to the latest gossip about Tom and Katie.

This is certainly better than most everything on SFBM, but it reminds of something off of Birds of Pray. I am glad they are rocking out again for sure, but I am not certain it is quality rocking out just yet. I've felt the same way about Forever and Purifier, but at least it is a step forward after the last one.

As for the guitar solo and all, like Ed said they had only played the song together twice. Who knows what it will sound like in the end?

It is one of the songs credited to both of them... I bet Ed wrote it or they both did. We will see it someday.

it was on a list with all songs Live has ever written. most are credited 'Ed'. Others have credits from the whole band. This song (fly) was the only song that credited both Ed and Chris. Apart from Fly there were a few other intersting song titles on there that we haven't heard before. I don't have the link anymore, I guess someone else ll have it.

yes, and I'm refferening to this list: http://repertoire.bmi.com/writer.asp?fromr...I&cae=233041909

we have to keep an eye on that damn list in the coming months, so we can see progress on new album songs.
or example: in the meantime since we discussed the list (thread is linked by Merica) they put Purifier and Forever on the list, so it's updated very correctly. No sign of Belive though (but that makes sense as it isn't recorded yet).

Not a single, but I like the direction the sound is going in. I'm disappointed in the lyrics but I like the riff. This song has a rock edge to it that Live has been lacking. It's about damn time.

If this song represents the vibe to the next album I'm going to love it as long as Ed (now calling himself Eddie) doesn't start rapping.

(side note: Take Me Up To Zion sucks! I hope that is Ed's future solo release stuff.)

Todays music just fucking sucks and this fits right in with it.

This is an old man statement. There probably isn't a single musical generation that wasn't called crap by the generation before it.

Every generation throughout history seems to say this when they hit their midlife crisis. Face it, you're old and you just don't relate anymore. Enjoy your classic rock.

That "TV Set" line is really BUGGING me.

And they need to get rid of the tv set line! omg.gif

The TV line sounds like leftover shit from V. Badman probably loves it!

Yeah, I'm old.....how bout you come down and find out just exactly how old I am?

My bet is that you'll get your head kicked in in a flash, so, I'm old, but not too old to make your face look worse than it already does.
