No one has songs that are like mine... I might as well do this thing!

1. Don't Follow ~ Alice in Chains
2. Uncle Remus ~ Frank Zappa
3. The Medley (Abbey Road) ~ The Beatles
4. She Brings The Rain ~ Can
5. Flies and Blue Skies ~ King's X
6. My Body is a Cage ~ The Arcade Fire
7. Heavenly Bank Account ~ Frank Zappa
8. The Widow ~ The Mars Volta
9. Epitaph ~ King Crimson
10. Watermelon in Easter Hay ~ Frank Zappa... again.

Sorry it is Zappa heavy, he was a genius. A whiter shade of pale makes the list if you ask me in the morning.

1 InMe - In Loving Memory

FUCKING YES YOU KNOW IT!

This would easily make my list. it's one of the best songs I've ever heard and it's my favourite by INME. I only got their Daydream Anonymous cd a few months ago, but totally blown away by it. Outstanding piece of work. still can't get enough. Listening right now.

Whether these are my top 10 or not I don't know - probably not. But they are 10 'top' songs! tongue.gif

In Loving Memory - InMe
Cities of Night - Blaqk Audio
The Sacrament - HIM
Summer of '69 - Brian Adams
Forget About Tomorrow - Feeder
Deora Ar Mo Chroi - Enya
Ocean Avenue - Yellowcard
Looking Back On Today - The Ataris
This Celluloid Dream - AFI
Helena - My Chemical Romance

Killing Heidi don't anymore. Ella and Jesse broke off and now go by The Verses. I think they play at the Toff on something resembling a regular basis.

I wouldn't say that any of those songs are amongst the best ever (except maybe the Garbage one); just a handful that I love for one reason or another.

WOOHOO! *hugs Deku* I think InMe are a totally, shamefully underrated band. They deserve so much better. Most bands would have jacked it in a couple of albums back after the industry shit they've had thrown at them. I never thought White Butterfly would get released, let alone their best album yet which was Daydream Anonymous.

Looking forward to Herald Moth being released some time around August. The stuff I've heard so far has been utter class, as usual from InMe. It's a foregone conclusion that will be my album of the year, even if HIM and AFI manage to release the album's they're working on at the mo.

p.s. The Art Of Moderation and Nova Armada are both up on their myspace - http://www.myspace.com/inmeofficial
Keep an eye out as a few more new tracks will go up before he album is released. There's a few live tracks up on YouTube - look out for You Won't See Me Again and All Terrain Vehicle.

I know, shamefully underrated just about sums the band up. As well as the industry shit they've had to get through, there was also Dave's alopecia torment amongst other things. I think that's what makes Daydream such a success - you can hear the struggle, and to triumph over that with an album of such quality is inspiring. I've heard those two tracks and they sound pretty good. I hope they get the aclaim they deserve with Herald Moth.

p.s - great to see the HIM and AFI love too! Have been blindly searching the internet for news of what Valo and co are up to but no word for months. hopefully they'll get in the studio soon (if they aren't already).

I seriously have so much respect for Dave both as a musician and for his obvious strength of character to just think fuck it and keep pursuing his dream no matter what life throws at him. It just seems to give him more inspiration to write killer tunes. I've been a fan since Overgrown Eden and it used to make me laugh on the band forum that there was always a 'Dave's Hair' thread. Sure enough, after he lost his hair there was a 'Dave's Hats' thread. lol.gif

I was sure that they were dead in the water without a record label and with Joe leaving, but Greg replacing him was a lifeline and a breath of fresh air musically. His vocals fit in so much better than Joe's did and I love how his basslines often echo the lead guitar. And now Ben who seems to have fitted in as seamlessly as Greg did (apart from being about 9 feet tall) and added an extra dimension. Can't wait to see them live again! Seen them twice and they never disappoint, though the wall of death can get a bit out of hand.

Dave's solo stuff is absolutely great too and I love that as much as InMe's material.

Oh yes, I've been a huge AFI and HIM fan for probably a decade each, give or take. The last I heard about HIM's album was Ville saying it might be out very late this year or possibly early next year, depending on how they could work out the touring schedule. I don't think we ever get demos or previews from either band, so we will have to wait patiently. Oh well, I can while away the time waiting for some Exit Ten demos as promised.

Funny cos when I first heard them i thought they were shit. But I was a bit older by the time I heard Faster The Chase and i really liked the song, still one of my favourites by them. Think I bought the album WB upon hearing So You Know. It's an ok album, but when I got DA recently (I only got it to keep me occupied until the new New Found Glory came out lol) I was totally blown away. So I can now put them among my favourite bands. They've definitely been better since Joe left, no question. Ben is an interesting addition - I've seen some of his solo stuff on his myspace, and it's astounding! The way he plays it...

Never seen them live. Could have actually met Dave as one of my mates opened for him once but I was at uni and wasn't that big into them having not heard DA. Defo have to get to a gig at some point. I'm totally not into getting bashed up though so may have to stand at the side!

heard All Terrain Vehicle last night, sounds like a winner.

Edit: That's a bummer about HIM. Was expecting a late autumn release >_<
