there is not ONE (1) true Christian out there that would say... "there are many ways to get to Heaven, i just happen to choose the way of the Lord." so, to say that you hope i don't speak for the majority of Christians... well, i have bad news for you... i speak for ALL Christians... all true Christians, anyway.

people say that Christians are narrow minded for thinking that Jesus is the only way and nobody can make them think different... well, why aren't non-Christians equally as narrow minded for thinking that Jesus ISN'T the only way and nobody can make THEM think different?

to get to Heaven you have to be sinless or have a perfect, sinless, sacrafice for your sins. in comes Jesus.

Your not being a good person telling everyone if they don't believe in your TRUTH (or whatever you call it) that they will go to Hell.

like i said, earlier... it's not the people that i don't accept... it's the belief in other gods or the belief that there are many ways to get to God.

Jesus said, "NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER, EXCEPT THROUGH ME".

so, i'm not narrow minded... it's just that God has some pretty specific regulations that you have to meet in order to be with Him, and only Jesus and accepting Jesus meets them.

i think people forget that Christians didn't make their own rules about God. God did. we just choose to follow. people that think that there is more than one way to God... those are the ones that are making their own rules. they're not being open minded... they're being foolish.... they're making God fit their ways instead of them wanting to accept the fact that they must live by Gods ways.

Now with all this through Jesus stuff, how do you know this stuff? Did you see jesus say it? Do you know anyone who saw this jesus? Do you have any eye witness accounts of Jesus? The first writings of Jesus do not appear until 30 years after his supposed death in 33 AD. If there was a magic man walking the desert healing the sick, walking on water, and multiplying fish I'm sure someone would have written about it right then and there.

When you begin to actually LOOK at the evidence, you find it is flimsy. Jesus is based off of older gods like Horus or Mithra. All these gods were born on the 25th of a virgin, healed the sick, had 12 disciples, were baptized at 30 and began discipling only to be killed, dead for 3 days, and resurrected. These are only a few gods who can do what Jesus did except they go back thousands of years before Jesus.

Now, I don't want to hear you using the word know anymore. you don't know anything. You have a hunch that Jesus existed and can somehow save you... from yourself... and the wrath of himself... so you don't go to the hell that he created... The hell that you go to if you don't believe in him where you will choke and burn and scream and cry and die over and over again for all eternity!!! ... but he loves you!

gotigrz, you need to open yourself up to the possibility that God might not exist. In my world, he doesn't, so all your rules are meaningles and you're just playing a game with yourself. In your world, it's different. There's no proof for either side (though the burden lies with you, the believer), so you can take your threats of burning hell and shove them somewhere else, ta.

But... I don't exist in God's world, because he's nothing but a story in my existence. In your world you believe you exist in his world. That's what you've decided because you believe in him. Similar thing is to say that you think hell awaits if you don't do this that and the other. You think it'll happen to me. But those aren't the thoughts, beliefs and rules of my existence... so for me, it isn't going to happen to me.

... kind of makes me want to puke a little. You live in one house, I live in another; there are different house rules. A grounding awaits if you don't tidy your room, whereas I just have an untidy room.

*shrug* I refuse to believe that I have to fall down at the knees of some higher power and beg. That kind of God (because people have different ideas of God, which is one reason it's so hard to get to the bottom of it all) is a dick. I am the master of my own destiny, I take responsibility for my own shit. And if at the end of it, God is actually there - if he's the guy people say he is, he'll forgive me because I'm going to be a good person.

first of all... you're gonna quote God, the very God that you don't believe in to prove your point that God doesn't exist and rule over our world???? uh???? .... ok.

and, God said that we would rule over the animals and the earth.... which we do... further proof that God is real. but, God didn't say that we rule over the world. the last time i checked the world, which God created, is bigger than the the earth. think what you want, but i'm trying to help you. i know you don't see it as that, but that IS what i'm trying to do.
