Nice work everyone for getting this online. Fuck FOL for removing it, just proves their mediocrity once again. I don't know what to make of the song. It could have promise, but I'll have to hear the full band version. If it explodes at the end with a nice jam session, it could be a Live classic.

I agree, although, I'm not big on the chorus lyrics to be honest. Also, what is up with SOY not letting people discuss bootlegs and stuff? What's with the tight ass approach?

I think their reasoning is because they are attatched to the official site it's seen as bad if they allow discussion of bootlegs and shit being talked about. Fair enough I would understand if people were linking downloads to things you could otherwise buy like album tracks and such ... but I don't get the deal with bootlegs .. it's not as if someone would go "Ok Live are touring but I'm not gonna bother going to see them because I had the experience of downloading an average quality bootleg and listening to it through my ipod headphones!" ... people will still go, if anything hearing bootlegs of upcoming tours generally gets me more psyched and interested in a tour ... guess they see things otherwise.

QUOTE(Badman @ Apr 21 2009, 7:23 am) *

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tF4Uy448img

Take me on up to Zion
where I can lay my burdens down
The room is on fire
ain’t no peace in this crazy town
Take me on up to Zion
where my lord will comfort me
He will lay me down by still water
while my enemies run from me

Yeah they gonna run
Run from me
You will see
See them run
Far away
From me

Take me on up to Zion
Think I gotta song goin' through my head
bring your looking day then
gonna sing it down for all my friends.
Take me on up to zion
where no harm shall come to me, no
I will light upon my clothes
and the songs of iniquity.

Yeah they gonna run
Run from me
You will see
See them run
Far away
From me

Take me on up to Zion where I can lay my burdens down
The room is on fire ain’t no peace in this crazy town
Take me on up to Zion to that secret place in my heart.
where ain't a thing don't doubt to stand too long
when they see that temple gone...
The Red parts mean I am taking my best guess at this. Thanks Wamb for getting it started.

haha great work!

I kinda like the idea, that we now know (most of) the lyrics of a Live song, that Ed wrote only 2 days ago? Haha, how cool is that ?!
Maybe we fans know the lyrics even sooner ......than the other 4 band members !!! (as there's a big chance they haven't interacted in last 2 days). How weird lol.gif

I was really tired when I fiddled with the song last night but I made another version that has less clicks and pops in it. I also inverted the channels and fixed the fade... or tried my best. tear.gif

Wow not sure what to say. The mood alone makes this song promising. I love how he sings it deep instead of singing like a woman on almost all of SFBM. No ooooh la la's or anything (I'm looking at you Forever). Full band version could be amazing assuming there will be one.

Purifier was the foreplay, this could be the full blown orgasm.

I'm really digging the lyrics of this song right although it's pretty simple. I love the chorus even though it's not a typical build it up and smack you in the face with it kinda deal that live is so good at, but calm and confident. The singer in his particular spiritual place feels invincible...I dunno, realy simple and maybe just been starving for some good live stuff but the lyrics plus the way it's sung are really cool. Some Live songs almost make me want to be spirtual even though I'm absolutely not.

As far as the lyrics go I think it might be ROAD on fire. Just because I associate road to town more than room to town.

I'm pretty sure it's FIRE WILL LIGHT UPON MY CLOTHES (BUT MAYBE CLOAK?)

And then SONGS OF AN AMPUTEE....just kidding but that's what I thought he said the first couple times. It's defenitely iniquity which by defenition seems to fit.
