I appreciate the links, but I think you guys way overrate this concert. It sounded very amature compared to how they sounded a little later. I didn't care for it at all. I'm more into the SS stuff I guess.

SS stuff is great, like I said before that's my favorite Live era. But this stuff just has a rawness and more emotion in it than I think anything they've done, Ed sings with such force and conviction. I get what you say about sounding "amature" but to me that sort of adds to the appeal to it. I've kinda grown tired of the polished "same old, same old" you get from Live now where songs sound the same as they do in the studio versions. Here you get Waterboy and Tired of Me for example rocking the fuck out like they just dont do on MJ. The little jam in Tired of Me is fantastic and Ed's voice in Susquohanna is just superb. The lines "The woman's love, the god above, the woman's love, the god, above, not yet, no, no!" just nails it. Even though the SS era Operation Spirit is my favorite with that middle eastern tinge and humming/chanting in it (love when Ed does that), I love this one with Ed just going off his nut talking/singing about god knows what "the reaper does not care, you can't take em with ya.." ... its BS, but its so much better and more interesting than now days where he just goes "this song is about love, and spirit, we gotta have spirit, SPI-RAT!"

Yeah, still a massive supporter of this bootleg, this is the Live I fell in love with.

I get what you're saying, and that is a good line, but when I listen to this I feel like I'm in a highschool gym listening to a band of school kids. Just the vibe I get.

Like I said, to me SS shows are as good as it gets!

Agreed overall, this just happens to be my fav single bootleg. God what I wouldn't give for some more SS songs to be back in the setlist again.
