I just came across a Kaiser Chief's video "Good Days Bad Days" on an imeem playlist (http://www.imeem.com/jukebox/playlist/7cAEh1Vf/bitish_invasion_video_playlist/) with a Gorillaz video and Oasis. I really liked it - but I'm not too familiar with their stuff. I downloaded the song from their newest album "Off with Their Heads", but I'm not sure about the other tracks. What do you guys think?

Love the Kaiser Chiefs .. not a massive fan of the new album though, a couple of good tracks. They're good to see live too ... just a fun band with catchy tunes. Ricky Wilson is a great frontman too, check youtube out for a TV show called "never mind the buzzcocks" with him as the guest host, he did a great job, natural charisma

I can't tell the difference between then and Franz Ferdinand, musically.

Few vids for the OP
Oh My god
Every Day I Love You Less And Less
I Predict A Riot

And see what I mean about them and Franz Ferdinand
Take Me Out
Michael
Darts Of Pleasure

Both played so hideously to death in the UK that I couldn't possibly enjoy either band.

You cant tell the difference? Franz Ferdinand has a heaps bigger dance vibe to their songs, kaiser chiefs bring out the pop rock. I find the bigger similarity between franz ferdinand and arctic monkey's

I'm not too sure about KC. I'm not a huge fan. I'm not sure many south african's are. They repeated one song on air over and over and over again and then nothing else. I know they've been playd to death in London, but they have a huge fan base there.

When they came out last year, most of the crowd used thei performance as an intermission and went to the beer tent. Chan and I ducked away to go to the loos. And they made the mistake of introducing them selves by saying: "So..you won't know who we are except maybe for the next song>" and then they played RUBY.

That's pretty much when everyone lost interest.

I DON'T think they should have been invited to that fest at all. You cannot put KC next to the MUSE and KORN and Good Charlotte and Chris Cornell. It just doesn't work.

Will post a vid of the crowd's response to KC as soon as the damn thing uploads.

Certainly shouldn't put them next to those hacks.

Saw the Kaiser Chiefs tonight and my respect for them went up 10 fold, not often I've seen a gig only go for 80mins and feel like I still got my money's worth but they're a great live act. So much positive energy, you can just tell they're having a great time, their material comes across really well live and I gotta say they're one of the best sing along bands I've seen ... neat trick in one song throwing a few microphones out into the crowd to get a massive sing-along going.

I've never really listened to them. I don't think I'd really care for them. BUT! I worked at Hollister for three years and at one point "Ruby" was on the playlist there. I actually did like that song.

I might check them out. If I don't like them, it's only a few minutes of my life wasted.

"Ruby" was pretty catchy. I was part-time when they started playing it at Hollister. I remember my boss Megan and I would get into shouting contests going "RUBY RUBY RUBY RUBY!!" haha
